MINDANAO CITIZENS CONCERN for HUMANITARIAN

( MCCH )
Baliwasan, Zamboanga City

MANIFESTO
In the late 1960s, a geopolitical revolutionary movement in the Philippines arose from the
atmosphere of activism that characterized that decade. In the late 1968, atleast 28 Muslim
volunteers from Sulu who were being trained to covert mission, (rise from the Moro Liberation
Movement), Sabah were massacred by government troops in what would popularity be known
as the JABIDAH Massacre, which is widely considered as the catalyst that birthed the Islamic
separist movements in Mindanao, a pioneer of which was Nur Misuaris , MORO NATIONAL
LIBERATION FRONT ( MNLF ). On March 27, 2014, comprehensive peace deal was signed
between the administration of PHILIPPIINE PRESIDENT BENIGNO NOYNOY C . AQUINO, and
the MORO ISLAMIC LIBERATION FRONT (MILF), closing two decades of negotiations started by
the administration of former President FIDEL V. RAMOS.
More so the MINDANAO CITIZENS CONCERN for HUMANITARIAN ( MCCH ), a NON
GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATION ( NGO ) based in Western Mindanao, would like to cohesively
appeal the leaderships of the Congress and Senates of the Philippines, to moving forward with
BANDSAMORO BASIC LAW ( BBL ) until it finally enacted into law, because we strongly believe
that BBL is the best legal instrument to establishing lasting peace and development in the
Bangsamoro Homeland.
Likewise, we jointly and solidly rally behind and all-out support the good leadership of His
EXCELLENCY, PRESIDENT BENIGNO NOYNOY C. AQUINO, on his reform program better
known as
(MATUWID NA DAAN) in addressing the peace and development in the whole
country specially in the Region of Mindanao.
On the other hand, we salute the 44 SAF soldiers as Filipino New Heroes, as they have
declined their lives and sacrificed the future of the families in compliance to their constitutional
duties. Likewise we collectively pray to Almighty God, admit them in the eternal peace known
as paradise. Also we sincerely sympathized to their widowed, wives, children and families. May
justice prevail for them.
Therefore, we do hope and pray that the BANGSAMORO BASIC LAW prevails in
BANGSAMORO HOMELAND as the land still unfulfilled promises.

SUPPORTED BY THE OFFICERS AND MEMBERS OF THE ORGANIZATION.
