VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
My volunteer effort, most recently, has been with the First Baptist Church. I participate in
serving the community meal once a month, and assist in handing out fruits and vegetables at the
weekly produce program. Both programs are to provide individuals and families who are
struggling to make ends, by providing a hot meal and a fresh produce supplement.
My past volunteer experience (8 years altogether) has been with Arthur Stringer Public
School. I participated 1-3 times a week, with grades J.K. to grade 5: assisting students who need
extra help with classwork, implementing reading programs for each grade, and participating with
the Home and School association to help raise funds for school programs. As well, I volunteered
for Scouts Canada, as a Beaver and a Cub leader, (for 6 years). While organizing and facilitating
weekly program meetings, I worked with a team in our local area, and also actively assisted with
camping activities and Scouting events.
