Its of utmost importance to unify Somali troops and to centralize command. In
order to reach this goal Somali Federal Government and regional
administrations have to come to an agreement to make this possible and
strengthen Somali National Army. There are now two planned activities;
to organize all regional forces into one force that represents all the local
population; to organize and centralize all forces coming from different regions.

These goals can only be reached and finalized when the committee
responsible for this task has completed all the stages of unification of the
Somali National Army.

All the nations agree that no country can exist without an army force that safe
guards the freedom, security, borders and internal law and order for its
citizens. The Somali National Army Forces had experienced different histories
in the past, it was one of the most powerful military forces in our region. Few
countries had the modernity and quality we had that time. But in the last two
decades we find that SNA headquarters which was the most powerful military
institution in the region is occupied by Somali IDPs who fled from the regions.
Two decades ago the Somali National Army forces had better technology and
experience than most African countries in the region. But things are better and
the country is recovering. Even this building , the SNA HQ isnt like it was last
year. This time the army is reforming itself to flash out the remnants of AlShabaab.
