College Poster Project

PURPOSE
The purpose of this project is to learn about the wide variety of post-high school educational opportunities
available to students in our community. You will research a post-secondary educational institution (a college,
university or trade or technical school) and present your findings in a poster project to your classmates. Your
job is to summarize the schools selling points by creating an attractive, informational visual display. You may
use any information from the colleges website, brochure, or any other source as long as it is

POSTER REQUIREMENTS
The layout and design of your college poster is up to you, but each poster must include the following
information:
o The name of the school
o Where the school is located and how to get there from our community (bus, train, car, airplane, etc)
o Popular majors
o Sports
o Student Life (clubs, Greek system)
o Where do most students live? In the dorms, at home, or off -campus
o The percentage of students admitted
o The annual cost
o The percentage of students who receive financial aid
o The number of students (undergraduate vs. graduate)
o The average SAT scores of admitted students
o The average GPA of admitted students
o The percentage of men vs. women
o The percentage of various races of students
o Anything else that might be interesting to interested students
