IMPROVING SPEAKING

THROUGH VIDEOS IN 10TH

GRADE STUDENTS AT
JORGE ELIECER GAITAN
HIGH SCHOOL

INTRODUCTION

In this project in title Improving Speaking Through Videos in 10th Grade

Students at Jorge Eliecer Gaitan High School. I want to awaken students
interest throug implementing videos that promotes interaction among them.
I think watching the videos of interesting topics, students talk about the
main idea and their partners must correct if they make mistakes and thus,
they can improve their speaking.

This project is going to be apply in August 2015 at Jorge Eliecer Gaitan

high school, because of the need to the students to speak well nowadays.
English has become very important and thus, in order to improve student
speaking, they are going to watch different kinds of videos and they must
try to understand what is the main idea, then, share it with the classmates.

JUSTIFICATION
I am going to develop this project because I have
observed that most of the students have a low speaking
development and the high school has not had developed
a method in which students could improve their skill. I
want to motivate students through didactic classes using
interesting videos in which they can see the importance
of speak in a good way and increase the interest of
students.
In this project the students can choose the topic to watch
videos according to their interest ans thus, they are going
to focus in the learning and improving the speaking.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM

The principal problem is that students have a low
speaking level and they can not neither express
any idea nor commuticate with their partners. I
need to solve this problem because nowadays
English language is use everyday.
I am going to divide the the students in small
groups, only with students that have a low
speaking level, they must have the same
characteristics and they will watch the same
videos. I think that if they interact and speak in
english all time they will improve quickly because
I have obeserved improving in some of my
classmates

OBJECTIVES
General:
Improve speaking skill in 10th grade students at
Jorge Eliecer Gaitan High school throug
interesting videos.
Specific:
To awaken interest of students to speak in
english very well.
Increase the speaking fluency of the students.
To analyze how students improve their speaking.
