The University of Westminister Students’ Union Pashtun Society would like to cordially invite you to our first event

.

We shall be hosting the Sunday Times featured Maryam Bibi, who runs the charity Khwendo Kor (KK), meaning ‘Sisters Home’ in Pashto. Khwendo Kor is established in the North-West Frontier Areas of Pakistan, which is currently at the forefront of much of the fighting in the ‘War Against Terror’. It is a non-governmental organisation set out to improve the well being of women and children in one of the poorest and most conservative areas of the world. Its efforts are primarily centred around improving the education and training opportunities available to women and children of the region. We would like to invite you to come and learn about the work of Khwendo Kor, as well as have the opportunity to speak with Maryam Bibi herself.
