Introduction: Good afternoon! Today we will begin working on measures 134 to the end of
Alma LLanera. You will have a short time to work on this individually and in groups before
we play this as an ensemble.
Procedure:
The teacher will instruct the students to learn and practice measures 134 to the end
of Alma Llanera for 15 minutes.
The teacher will instruct the students, who are playing part 2, to consider their PIMA
patterns and to write them in the music.
The teacher will instruct the students who are playing the bass guitar, 1, 3, and 4
parts to count in 3/4
The teacher will lead the students in playing measures 134 to the end of Alma
Llanera.
If students are having difficulties with the 6/8-3/4 combo then the teacher will
instruct the students to count out loud, first without playing (so that they get used to
counting together in opposing meters) and then while playing.
Closure:
Good job! Make sure to practice and write in the PIMA and right fingerings that you are using
so that you dont forget!
