Frequent Class Cutters Support Plan

1. Collect data
a. Tardies
b. Absences excused, unexcused
c. Class cuts, including which periods
d. Referrals
2. Meet with students that are identified as frequent class cutters. Self-reflect on
decisions and gather information about what the student thinks he/she needs
to stay in school.
a. Individual questionnaire, frayer diagram, etc.
b. Whole group -Frayer diagram, stations with sticky notes, etc.
3. Parent Contact / Meeting
4. Think tank with teachers be transparent and focus on solutions
a. Explain student needs, parent wants.
b. Air teacher frustrations
5. Create individualized plan w/rewards system for each student based on
parent/teacher supports

6. Monitor student progress and inform all stakeholders.
