Comp J.4 Professional Development Plan

Instructions: Candidates will write a professional development plan (1 year, 5 years, and 20
years plan).
After the things I learned during this credential, my goals have change somewhat. I
realized that I would like to take more courses to develop myself professionally and transfer
that knowledge to my staff. I am planning on taking advantage of the multiple opportunities
available at Waukesha County Technical College. In one year, I hope to complete all the
requirements to be a Level 12 in The Registry. Using the new knowledge and resources
acquired during this credential and as I continue in college, I hope to create more quality
programming in my region.
In 5 years, I would like to have more education in special needs children. This topic has
sparked an interest for a while and I am going to pursue more education that I hope to
complete in 5 years. In 20 years, I hope to enrich other peoples life with my knowledge and
experience. I would like to have my own business serving children. Although I am still in the
planning stage, I want to have a center in where inclusion, diversity, quality programming,
and child development is promote for children ages 4 years old to 15 years old.
