  Tell the MTA not to cut our Student MetroCards or paratransit services! Urge the MTA to adopt alternative plans presented by New Yorkers and their elected leaders!

What can you do? Join the New York City Council and the Straphangers Campaign:
    Sign our petition http://council.nyc.gov/html/action_center/mta.shtml Contact the MTA. Urge them to find alternative ways to prevent these terrible cuts and to ensure an open public process. Contact Governor Paterson at - http://www.state.ny.us/governor/contact/index.html Don’t let the MTA pass these cuts without public input!

Students, Seniors and G, M, and W lines, with more transfers and longer trips;  end part or all of theDisabled Riders Face Critical Losses, Rally Against Cuts  increase waits and crowding at midday/weekends on more than half the subway lines;  Tell the MTA not to cut our Student MetroCards or paratransit services!  end weekday service on 11 bus routes, weekend service on 22 routes and  Urge the MTA to adopt alternative plans presented by New Yorkers and their elected leaders! overnight service on 18 routes; What can you do? Join the New York City Council and the Straphangers Campaign:  Restructure or replace in part weekday service on 41 bus routes, 32 weekend  Sign our petition http://council.nyc.gov/html/action_center/mta.shtml routes and 9 overnight routes;   Contact the MTA. Urge them to find alternative ways to prevent these terrible cuts and to eliminate 10 express bus routes, consolidate four more; and ensure an open public process. By phone: (212) 878-7483  Reduce paratransit (Access-A-Ride) service by $40 million.
 
