This location is described as a brick exterior, multi-level, single family house. The doorway to the home is white, with a black front door. There is a stone walkway that leads from the sidewalk to the front door. ‘THE AFFIANT: Your affiant, Detective Damion Johnson, is assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department Criminal Investigations Division; Homicide Branch. INVESTIGATION: On Thursday, May 14, 2015, a call was dispatched to this location for a local. Multiple units from DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and observed the top level of the house engulfed in flames, DC Fire and EMS forced entry and extinguished the fire. Located in a bedroom on the upper level, was what appeared to be an adult male with apparent trauma to the rear of his head. Also in that same bedroom, was what appeared to be an adult female with lacerations to her throat and head. A baseball bat with what appeared to be blood on it was located in this bedroom. Located in a second bedroom on the upstairs level, was an adult individual (gender unknown) suffering from severe fire damage to it's body. There was fire damage to the room. The fire appeared to have been ignited in this room, Detectives secured this location pending issuance of a District of Columbia Superior Court Search Warrant, REQUEST: Based on the aforementioned facts and circumstances, your affiant believes that secreted in this location, 3201 Woodland Drive, Northwest, Washington, DC 20008, is evidence pertaining to the ignition of the fire and death of the decedents.
