GOAL: To play soccer on the Canadian National Team or Woman’s Professional Soccer
League through college/university, pursuing a degree in Medicine.
SPECIAL QUALITIES: Anika has been recognized for having vision while on the pitch as well
as her abilities to win balls out of the air. She has played in the leadership role as a captain,
and leads by example through mentorship. Anika has always challenged herself to play at
the highest level available. This is reflected in playing with the boys junior development
team at ages11- 12, and advancing to the senior high-school team to play at the triple AAA,
provincial level while in grade eight. Beginning in grade 10, Anika’s grounded and steady
character allowed for further skill development with the Canadian Sport Institute, and the
Highlanders Academy Program in Victoria, B.C., while living independently.
