Lesson 4 Day 4

Time needed: 60 minutes


Daily topic: Obesity Physical Education
Grade Level(s): 3-5
Objective: This physical education class will provide students a variety of activities with
technology which will motivate students and increase health.
Content Standards:
1. Third Grade
a. Standard 2 - Students demonstrate knowledge of movement concepts, principles,
and strategies that apply to the learning and performance of physical activities.
2. Fourth Grade
a. Standard 3 - Students assess and maintain a level of physical fitness to improve
health and performance.
3. Fifth Grade
a. Standard 4 - Students demonstrate knowledge of physical fitness concepts,
principles, and strategies to improve health and performance.
Procedures:
1. Introduce the topic: Ask the students what they have learned from the two previous
lessons, English and Math, about obesity.
2. Ask the students what they do daily to stay fit. Get them to demonstrate for other students
to see.
3. Teacher will display a PowerPoint about GoNoodle, how to sign up as a student, and all
the aspects of the website
4. Let the students explore the website with their parents, because when students sign up
they need a parents email
5. In class, display videos on the different channels on exercises and fitness.
6. Get the students to interact and perform with the videos as an exercise
7. Then get the students to answer the questions posted on GoNoodle
a. What channel or video do you like to do as an exercise?
b. Have you seen an increase in your health?
c. Do you feel more active than before?
8. As an assignment/homework, with the help of their parents, get the students to upload a
video from YouTube or an educational website on any fitness or exercise they would like
the class to see on GoNoodle.

Materials needed:
Smartboard and projector
Computer for teacher and every student (if needed)
Account to GoNoodle
Accommodations: Enough room and area for students to spread out, all students should
participate.
Assessment: Students will be graded on answering all of the questions given and submitting a
video to GoNooodle. Students will be graded on their creativity and interactions.
