CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.

The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using

telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.

(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

Describe teachers' current access to instructional technology and current use of

digital tools.
Every teacher has laptops and teachers were trained and getting new technologies. The
schools have computer laboratories and library computer laboratories. Some Office
products such as Power Point and Word are used to enhance learning of topics. Google
Apps are used by Teachers and Students to collaborate and share.
Via RTT grant by Federal Department of Education, the technology infrastructure of
Harmony Schools of Excellence became strong. Beside the all teachers have laptop, all
students have own chrome books. IPads, kindle, fires, smart boards are the other devices
that some schools have and use for education. Some classrooms have the mimeo pads
that provide interactive lessons. Servers are important role that maintain technological
stability.

Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current use of

digital tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices, and/or
replacement policy that ensures equitable technology access for all students.
The students, who are 6-12 grades, have chrome books. The district doesnt allow the
student to take the chrome books to their home. Also the district doesnt allow the student
to use social media sites at school and non-educational sites.
The students use some web 2 tools such as Edmodo to communicate with their friends
and their teachers. Some teachers use Edmodo for assignments or for discussions.
And with like Think through Math programs the students can find more practices and
can exercise for math at home. There are lots of programs like that encourage the students
at home. The schools advice and support the students use these programs.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for using
technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align to
the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how the
LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding
proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.
The Technological plans goals are:
- All students will be able to use appropriate technology tools to increase academic
performance across the curriculum.
- All students will be able to use 21st century tools by mastering and applying the
Technology

All teachers and administrators will meet or exceed the SBEC technology
applications standards for beginning teachers.

All teachers and administrators received professional development on integrating

technology into instructions.

The technology will be used to increase communication among stakeholders.

The resources that improve students, teachers and learning will be purchased.

Implementations plan:
- To detect the needs of the district, surveys and interviews will be implemented
for assessment.
- According to the assessments to complete the deficiencies about technology in
schools, some decisions should be determined.
- The teachers and administrators will receive professional developments trainings.
- The curriculum will be integrated in the technology so the students will use the
chrome books effectively.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, to address
Internet Safety and the appropriate and ethical use of technology in the
classroom.
This year district separate the servers so different servers will be used for different
purposes. They have secured and activated Firewalls. To ensure faster and secure
internet the district provide more Wi-Fi for students, staff and guests.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT

The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

Summary of the teachers' and administrators' current technology proficiency and

integration skills and needs for professional development.
Last year all teachers and staff received the trainings on Microsoft Office, Google Docs
and several soft wares. This knowledge helped them to arrange their time on daily tasks
and support their teaching in the classrooms.
This year the district will provide some training that support the teachers to increase
using tablets and white board in education. Especially this year district will do the
trainings separately for all lessons. Science teachers and ELA teachers will not take same
trainings. Because using the devices for different lessons need different skills and
knowledge.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for providing
professional development opportunities based on your LEA needs assessment
data and the Curriculum Component of the plan.
During professional development hours teachers and administrators will receive the
trainings to increase the knowledge that is about integration of technology into
curriculum. Also the new devices will be purchased by district with providing using
trainings.
At the beginning of the year surveys that find the deficiencies and needs are
implemented. Depending on the results of the surveys the district decided to provide
comprehensively trainings for teachers. Because the district realized with the surveys that
the district provide all the technological devices but because of insufficient trainings for
students and teachers the devices cant be used effectively and comprehensively. So this
year to increase the effective of the devices on educations, the trainings will be improved
and developed.
INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SOFTWARE, AND
