Picnic at Sungai Gabai Waterfall

The hours of operation are daily from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

How to Get There

The Hulu Langat road is usually slow every day due to lorries and narrow lanes. If
there is no traffic, expect to reach Gabai Forest Waterfall in just over an hour.
With traffic add another 30 minutes.

If you come from Kajang, you should follow the road sign to Hulu Langat or
Pangsun.

1) From Kuala Lumpur head out to Cheras-Kajang highway and go through

the first toll way
2) Take the first left exit (Exit 702 - Persimpangan Hulu Langat) where a
large sign points the direction to Air Terjun Gabai, Air Terjun Tekala, and
Air Terjun Batangsi
3) Stay left on the two-lane road (Ulu Langat) and expect some traffic delays
for the next 5 km
4) Watch for a series of brown signs to Air Terjun Gabai, Hutan Rekreasi
Sungai Chongkak and Hutan Rekreasi Gunung Nuang along this road and
expect a left turn at a junction
5) Watch for blue signs pointing the way to Hutan Lipur Sg. Chongkak,
Perdik and Gabai (another 20-25 km ahead)
6) Watch for the road junction where straight ahead lies Sg. Chongkak and
Gunung Nuang and a right turn towards Sungai Lui and Semenyih takes
you to Gabai Falls
7) Follow the right turn road for a few kilometers and watch for the blue
Hutan Lipur Sg. Gabai signs
8) A final left turn for 2 km brings you to the entrance of the park, if car park
is full stop along entry road

Things to do:
Jungle Swim - Straight out of the rainforest, the water is cold and refreshing and full of energy.
Sit in a waterfall pool, slide on the wet rocks or find an upstream water hole all for yourself.

Family Picnic Idea - Prepare some munchies and bring your own small grill to sit under the
open air and bbq while the kids go swimming. Camp out for the day on a wooden platform for
convenience.

Jungle Trekking - Wander upstream beyond the main swimming area for some good exercise
on the trail and take a dip to cool off before returning to the waterfalls.

Jungle Photography - A tropical waterfall offers ample angles to test your landscape
photography skills, and there are other natural attractions, like the Rajah Brooke's Birdwing, too.
