Text Responses
Question: Explain: Course as a whole
I have learned about so many great technology tools to use in my classroom for ALL students!

Page 2/4

It's difficult to online evaluate classes. It's too easy to BS the classes. I guess I'm too accustomed to a physical classroom experience being at least partly
involved in the course.
I was able to get 100% on discussion posts without reading any of the material. This course is too easy to be graduate level.
none
Question: Explain: Effectiveness of teacher
Nordstrom

Dr. Norstrom always does a fabulous job because she is very passionate about what she does. I really appreciate the fact she organizes class trips to workshops
and places like TAC.

Nordstrom

Blackboard is boring and flat. Even the interaction in discussion boards is a pail form of interaction. At least incorporate Google Hangouts or other face-to-face
interaction.

Nordstrom Not only did she help me with topics in this course, but she also helped me with something that came up in my job that dealt with technology.
Question: Explain: Interpersonal Relationships
Nordstrom

Dr. Norstrom understands that life and jobs can be very demanding and she is willing to work with you. I am very appreciative for her patience! I have loved
my classes with her!

Nordstrom Very helpful instructor.
Question: Explain evaluation methods:
Nordstrom I really appreciate the feedback about my assignments.
Nordstrom It's hard to feel evaluated when I don't make bad grades.
Question: Explain: University facilities
I had late work, but otherwise got great grades. I think it would be helpful to see more of other's work submissions like a database - not just a discussion board.
Question: Strengths of the course
The assignments and readings.
I really learned a lot about assistive technology! The group trip to TAC.
The resources for each module
It covered all of the special groups. I intend to save several links from this course's materials.
Question: Weaknesses of the course
Too short!
Completely online classes leave out the necessary physical component of learning and make it easy to BS.
Question: Would like my instructor to know
I appreciate the feedback on the assignments that were submitted.
This information was extremely helpful.
Sunday due dates ruin wreck a day of rest. Make work due on Saturday and Monday or Thursday and Saturday, just not Sunday.
Question: My favorite class session was...because..
The session discussing assistive technology features on the iPad. I was able to use what I had learned to help another teacher during a professional development
session!
Field Experience was my favorite assignment because I loved seeing assistive technology at work.
Module 2- Learning about UDL
The two ELL sections were great. They had great resources.
Question: Most beneficial assignment was...because..
The lesson plans. This allowed me to be intentional in how I would integrate technology into a lesson to meet the needs of my SPED and EL students.
Field Experience and Assistive Technology Review. During the field experience, I was able to see hands on some of the technology I investigated as part of the
Assistive Technology review.
Tech Implementation Plan- I plan to give it to a family, as is, as a suggestion for their daughter.
The field experience, touring the Technology Access Center simply because it was at that point that I really grasped what the course was about and what
technology for special groups signified.
Question: Least beneficial assignment was...because..
The ELL lesson plan and assessment was my least beneficial assignment because ELL is not something offered at my school.
Tech for advanced students. We need better differentiation.
Question: Would change..
Sunday due dates. I know I should be able to plan for my Sundays, but it just needs to change. We are a Christian institution and it would seem best that we
consciously honor the Lord's Day. How about we incorporate ISTE standards of collaboration and sharing. Everything was independent work and we didn't see
other's efforts.
Question: Would not change..

Page 3/4

The class structure was excellent. The content and assignments challenged me to critically think about my practice in the classroom and make applications to
my work with students.
