August Rush is a movie filmed in 2007, and its genre is drama. It was directed by
Kirsten Sheridan, produced by Richard Barton Lewis and written by Nick Castle,
James V. Hart, and Paul Castro. It cost $25 million and had a running time of 113
minutes. This movie was nominated in the category of Best Original Song at the
80th Academy Awards, which is one of the really good things about the film. It was

highly praised for its music, with the song "Raise it up" that is definitely one of the
best in the world of rhapsodies.
The story is about two musicians called Louis Connelly (Jonathan Rhys Meyers)
and Lyla Novacek (Keri Russell), who met by coincidence at a party in New York,
but they are soon separated, leaving in their way an infant, Evan Taylor (Freddie
Highmore), called artistically in the film as August Rush, who is orphaned by
circumstance. Definitely, you need to see this movie to see how it all happened.
By a brief description, Evan grows up in an orphanage, all the time truly believing
that his parents are alive. He can become in music everything around him and the
main reason for his behavior is that he thinks he could hear the music from his
parents. He trusts that they are searching him and they would come and get him
back to them someday. Therefore, that is how Evan, known as August, uses his
remarkable musical talent to look for his parents from whom he was separated at
birth. That is why he escapes from the orphanage and starts performing on the
streets of New York. His life is not easy there, but his talent helps him to reach big
goals.
His parents develop parallel stories in the film, trying to find happiness in their lives,
the happiness defined in their lost and unknown child. Finally, they meet at the end
and it becomes a happy story that is particularly exciting.
The worst thing about this film is especially when Evan is cared for by a mysterious
stranger. There are some sad scenes, but it is certainly touching the entire movie. I
truly recommend it because it is one of my favorites. It does make you want to see
it again.
