Introduction
Scope of the Training
➢ To enhance the knowledge being a management trainee.

Training in company like Nirlep. gives the idea of huge management work having interlinks in the different countries.

➢ The training has given us idea of working of different
departments like production, stores, finance, personnel, marketing etc.

What Is In-Plant Training?

The most widely used method of training by the organizations can be classified as either on-the-job or off-the-job.

On-The-Job Training:The most widely used method of training takes place on-thejob. On-the-job training places the employee in his actual work situation and makes his appear to be immediately productive. It is learning by apprenticeship training, job instruction training,coaching, understudy assignment.

Off-The-Job Training:Off-the-job training covers number of techniques such as class-room lectures, flims, demonstration, case-studies and programmed instruction.

In-Plant Training is On-The-Job Training method. InPlant Training is intended to make candidates aware of work situation and prepare him to be productive.

History of Nirlep
Nirlep was established in 1968 by a visionary businessman Mr. Nilkanth Bhogale who used to have interest in trading laboratory and X-ray related equipments. This was the period when stainless steel was not freely available in India; it was only available on quota basis. As such there was a great deal of undersupply of laboratory related equipment in the Indian market. Mr. Bhogale who realized then, the necessity for an alternative to stainless steel equipments. & manufactured the utensils coated with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). He thus

pioneered the concept of nonstick cookware in India. The first Nirlep product was launched in Mumbai. It was a fry pan with code name F.P. 24. It was received with suspicion. It was not surprising because Indian housewife had never seen anything similar to it before. In the initial stages Nirlep had just one distributor in Mumbai. But today the Company is having a wide distribution network of about 85 distributors across the country coupled with a strong & dedicated field force to ensure sales and services at around 9000 retail outlets. Today, Company is a pioneer and leader with a market share of 35 % in the non-stick cookware segment in the country. The Company exports its products to countries like Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Maldives & Sri Lanka. The Company is accredited with the Quality Certification '' ISO 9001:2000 of AS/NZS. The Company is having dedicated employee strength of about 225. The Company is having six manufacturing plants out of which three are devoted to the cookware business; namely Nirlep Appliances Ltd., Amulet Industries Pvt. Ltd., & Bhogale Coatings Pvt. Ltd. The company has also undertaken several turnkey projects for setting up manufacturing plants for the non-stick cookware in Middle East & Africa. The other three plants are located in Waluj Industrial Area, Aurangabad namely Marathwada Auto Compo Pvt. Ltd., Umasons Auto Compo Pvt. Ltd., and Umasons Steelfab Pvt. Ltd. The industrial bake ware coating system (called the SBS

coating) denotes the most advanced non-stick coating systems used by the most important food and bakery industries in the world. The SBS coating systems can be applied only by the most experienced licensed applicators and Nirlep is proud to be one among them. The company's fully integrated manufacturing setup for nonstick cookware manufactures high quality kitchenware such a non-stick fry pans, Tawas, Kadhais, Appam Chatty, Appa Patra, Sandwich makers, Pots and more. The Company strongly believes in three basic tenets '' Integrity in business, Quality and Fair Price. The company is having the current capacity of manufacturing of 1.2 Millions kitchenware pans every year and now poised to have ambitious growth plan of achieving the target of 1.8Millions Kitchenware pans. Organizational Structure of Company

Product of Nirlep
The fort line product of Nirlep is the non stick cookware. Besides this Nirlep also markets other products like Nirlep enamelware. A whole new range of stock and serve enamel coated utensils. The products in these ranges are made from pure aluminum and have spiral groves carved on their bottom. The spiral groves help in quick and uniform transfer of heat and thus help in saving fuel. Besides, these products require little oil for cooking. Cooking in Nirlep products thus has 3 main advantages:1.

Health: - In Nirlep products the food doesn’t stick of the utensil and therefore oil is required only to enhance the taste of the food. This helps in lowering the consumption of oil and thus the consumption of fats and cholesterol thus ensuring that the hear remains as healthy as food one eats. Taste: - Nirlep products help in preserving all the essentials ingredients of food in their entirely. It also consumes less oil. All this help in cooking healthy yet tasty food. Economy: - As cooking in Nirlep consumes less oil due to its non-stick property and less fuel due to the spiral grooving on the bottom economy is achieved by saving on fuel and oil.

Corporate Philosophy
Nirlep was the first brand of nonstick cookware to be introduced in India in 1968. The entire technology for manufacturing was developed in-house.

Nirlep continues to be a strong market leader in the Indian nonstick cookware with a market share of around 40%. Nirlep products are manufacture at 3 factories, 2 in Aurangabad and 1 in Jalna. These factories are semi automatic and are equipped with state of the art machinery like automatic spray guns, automatic digressing plant, spiral grooving machines, hydraulic press, base grooving machines and stud welding machines etc. Quality is taken very serious at Nirlep and each and every piece goes through a quality control check at every stage of manufacturing. Nirlep has very strong distribution network in India. Introduction:Human Resources Department is the core department of any organization. It works likewise in Nirlep. Decade before Nirlep began quest. It is the blood of every individual that he doesn’t work unless and until he is forced to do so. Nirlep incorporated the professional management practices followed by the best and most respected organization in the world. Nirlep believes that they value their people (employee working with Nirlep called as Nirlep’s) and they are most significant asset and Nirlep, trust, value and nature them accordingly. The main work of the department is to maintain coordination in all departments and report is to top manager. Regarding the company policy and strategic decision:The job is to maintain discipline in all departments. Man power planning:Man power planning is done when there is requirement of employee for any post. Man power planning is a process of analyzing the strength of employees for right job. It analyses the strengths & weaknesses of an employee according to required job. It gives the criteria for the requirement of employees.

Recruitment & selection:After completion of man power planning the next step is recruitment & selection process. The recruitment process follows some basic steps as under.

Application shortlist:In this step, we shortlist the CVs received from various sources based on the suitability for the requirement.

Preliminary Assessment:The short listed candidates go through a preliminary round of interviews. This interview lays more emphasis on functional competencies. To have more data on the functional skills, the candidates may be given a business case for analysis and presentation (This is done for certain positions only).

Final Interview:Here the candidates who successfully clear the first round of interview go through another round of interview with one or more of the functional heads.

Medical Evaluation:Candidates who are selected by NIRLEP are asked to undergo a medical test. After all these processes, the recruited candidates are appointed as the employees of Nirlep.

Induction Process:The Induction process is the process in which the newly recruited employees come to know about the organization’s work & its environment.

Procedure:The main of the company is to establish its products in the global market and this is possible only by implementing ISO 9000 and Total Quality Management. Nirlep is the pioneer and market leader of “Non Stick Cookware”. In Maharashtra during the last decade their sales-mostly to sophisticated markets have made quantum leaps. ISO 9000 common procedure include Internal quality audit, Management review, Document format and control procedure, training procedure, customer complaint processing and analyses, corrective and preventive action, safety and control of quality records.

Function of HR Department:HR functions are generally divided into 2 categories i.e. managerial & operational. In fact these are 2 levels at which each function is to be performed. Each function is part of management plan and has to be given practical shape at the operational level. STEP1 Quality Control Test:The manufacturing process begins by conducting a quality control test on the aluminum circles, so as to ensure that their pysical dimensions like diameter, thickness etc, are as per the standard requirment.

STEP2 Stamping:In this operation, the aluminium circles are stamped with 1. The brand name i.e. Nirlep 2. The ISI mark 3. The name of the range i.e. selects Savovy or Sakhi 4. The name of the item i.e. Fry Pan Tavas 5. Its thickness STEP3 Pressing:In this operation aliminum circles are given the required shape. STEP4 Trimming:-

In this operation the pan is trimmed so as to make the pan exactly of the same height from all sides. STEP5 Pre-polising:The outer surface of the pan is polished during this process during this process so as to make it suitable for painting. STEP6 Stud-Welding:In this operation, the stud are welded on to the pan. Pans with faulty stud welding are summarily rejeted. STEP7 Degreasing:Grease or coolant oil or any other impurites from the pan surface are removed in this operation.

STEP8 Quality Control Test:At this stage a quality cintrol test is conducted to ensure that the physical specification of the pan confirms to the standards. STEP9 Coating:The inner surface of the pan is pray painted with a special type of primer and then dried in air. After this, the pan is given the top coat, i.e. Teflon non-stick coat. STEP10 Banking:After coating the pan is dried and then baked in an oven at about 400c for one and a half hour.

STEP11 Quality Control Test:The pan is tested for the quality and adhesion of the non-stick coating. STEP12 Painting & Screening:In this operation the outer surface of the pan is once again”prepared” for painting. It is then surface spray painted with the desired colour. Screen printing is also done in this operation on the Savovy range. STEP13 Base Grooving & Banding:In this operation,the pan is roated at high speed and the base is grooved by a computer governed machine. The banding operation is done in a similar manner simultaneously.

STEP14 Edge Finishing:In this operation the edges of the pan are checked for paint or coating depletion and “final touches” are given accordingly. STEP15 Quality Control Test:After edge finishing the pan is thoroughy cleaned and final quality control tests are then conducted. STEP16 Packaging:In this operation handels are fitted on the pan or packed loose as the case may be. The packaging is done conveyor belts by using specially designed trays which ensures that all the fittings and accessories are packed along with the pans.

This completes the entire manufacturing process of Nirlep’s non-stick cookware.

Attendence system:The attendence system here at Nirlep is operated through electronic Punching Card System to keep time records of the empolyees. This machine is connected to the personnel department to computer so as to assists all the details at a glance like wages, leave records, late coming details.

Introduction:The purchase department plays a very important role in NIRLEP because purchasing has its effect on every vital factor concerning the manufacture, quality, cost, efficiency and prompt delivery of good to customers. Its function is to procure materials, supplies, services, machines and tools at the most favorable terms consistent with maintaining the desired standard of quality.

Procedure :The purchase department starts functioning with the request i.e. purchase requisition (PR) from various departments to

order goods or services. With purchase requisition, the purchase department is authorized for procuring the goods as per the specification given in (PR) slip by the date mentioned on it. The requisitions are made in triplicate original copy is retained by the purchase department, second copy sent to stores department and third one to accounts departments. Having selected vendor or supplier, a purchase order (PO) is prepared from by purchase department, generally, 5 copies of PO are prepared. Original copy is given to the supplier second one is retained by purchase which placed the PR & Accounts department. When goods arrive, they are taken delivery of and are sent to quality control department for checking purpose.
