THE EWING TOWNSHIP REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY PREPARES FOR MARCH

3rd OPEN HOUSE TO GARNER INPUT ON THE REDESIGN OF OLDEN AVENUE

The Ewing Township Council adopted the Olden Avenue Redevelopment Plan. The
Plan proposed revisions to the Township’s development codes in an effort to help spur
the economic revitalization of the Township’s main commercial district. The Plan’s main
focus is intended to spark both commercial and residential redevelopment and will work
to create a more attractive business environment that is also more compatible with
surrounding neighborhoods and safer for pedestrians and cyclists.

To accomplish the vision, the Ewing Township Redevelopment Agency is working with
Mercer County and the community to redesign the roadway itself. On March 3rd, the
Redevelopment Agency will be hosting an Open House at Prospect Heights Fire House
from 5:30-9pm. Participants may come and go as they wish to obtain information and
provide feedback on the project. The goal of the redesign process is to calm traffic and
improve safety along the corridor in order to enhance the economic viability within the
district.

This next step in the planning process will be once again prepared with the assistance of
professional planner Chuck Latini, Jr. and also includes traffic and transportation
consultants. URBAN Engineers, Inc based out of Philadelphia.
