LIVE and DIE

Today I lived, today I lived
Like a newborn human, I cried
Today I strived and I believed
That waves and wind are on my side
Today I felt the strongest urge
To love the life I longed to live
But by noon my soil let a surge
By dusk a death note I received
Drenched in fear, I opened my eyes
Just to see a white ray of light
But just as I see, it then dies
Leaving me in the dead of night
The hopes I mustered, I see them
The dreams I kept, I see them all
Up in the sky like a nights gem
Not to be reached until they fall
But time is short, this day must close
With or without me it will flow
Another empty soul, I froze
I failed to live, I failed to show
To start and end the day, I cried
Today I died, today I died.
