Dear Ms. Torstveit:
We are following up on your meeting with Senator Fred Risser, Representative Chris Taylor, and
MNA Community Member Diane Michalski Turner on Friday, September 11, 2015 about the demolition
of the DOA building at 202 S. Thornton/201 S. Dickinson:
Senator Risser and Representative Taylor requested that the DOA, Ayres Associates, and the
DNR meet with the community before the start of the demolition, which is estimated to begin between
September 25 and October 2, 2015.
We will assist you in publicizing this community meeting with the DOA, Ayres Associates, and
the DNR; to organize this meeting, we need to know your availability for this meeting by noon on Friday,
September 18, 2015.
The community needs to hear your answers to their questions and concerns about the
demolition before the earliest demolition start date - September 25, 2015.
Of the items we anticipate included in this community meeting are

The name of the DOA staff person who will address community questions and concerns.
The specifics of the DOA communication process that will inform the community on a regular
basis about this demolition project.

information on the demolition.
