Cinema Politica Concordia – Fee-Levy Opt Out Policy

Cinema Politica Concordia is a non-profit, student-run organization, partially funded
through a fee levy paid by both undergraduate and graduate students at Concordia
University. Undergraduate students currently pay 7 cents per credit, while graduate
students contribute $1 per year to fund our activities, which include but are not limited to
a free weekly film screening series with guest speakers. We collaborate with many
campus and community groups and organizations at our screenings, which attract more
than 10,000 students and the general public per year. We also operate a Research and
Archive Viewing Library, as well as volunteer, subtitling and internship programs, the
latter of which offer valuable work or volunteer experience in a non-profit setting for

Students can opt out of the Cinema Politica Concordia fee levy during the week after the
DNE deadline. In order to do so, please present yourself in person with proof of
registration (such as a digital or printed up-to-date copy of your student record) and a
valid student ID at one of our screenings, or make an appointment with our assistant
