Japan
There are so many countries I could have chosen to research; however, I have
always been interested in visiting the Japan. Japan is where I plan to go in college.
I love the culture and their lifestyle. The food of their culture is good too. I plan to
live there later in life.
GOVERNMENT
The Japanese government doesnt elect the president directly , the prime
ministers forms a leader of themselves to lead. Shinz Abe is the Prime Minister of
Japan, re-elected to the position in December 2012. Abe is also the President of the
Liberal Democratic Party and chairman of the Oyagaku propulsion parliamentary
group. he Cabinet of Japan consists of the Ministers of State and the Prime
Minister.

LOCATION
Located in the Pacific Ocean, it lies to the east of the Sea of Japan, the East
China Sea, China, North Korea, South Korea and Russia, stretching from the Sea
of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and Taiwan in the south.

CURRENCY

The Japanese currency is yen. One yen consists of 100 sen, but sen is not in use of
today. The yens currency; 500 yen = 5.00 U.S dollars. Coins come in 1 yen, 5 yen,
10 yen, 50 yen, 100 yen and 500 yen. In the 19th century silver Spanish dollar
coins were common throughout Southeast Asia, the China coast, and Japan. These
coins had been introduced through Manila over a period of two hundred and fifty
years, arriving on ships from Acapulco in Mexico.
TOURISM-what can visitors do if they visit this country?
The of early traditions of visits to pictures sites are unclear, but early
sight-seeing was Matsuo Basho's 1689 trip to the then "far north" of Japan, which
not long after Hayashi Razan was the Three Views of Japan in 1643. During the
Edo era of Japan, from around 1600 to the Meiji in 1867, travel was within the
country through the use of shukuba or post stations, towns where travelers had to
present. Despite these restrictions, porter stations and horse stables, as well as
places for lodging and food were available on routes. South Korea is Japan's most
important source of tourists. In 2010, the 2.4 million arrivals made up 27% of the
tourists visiting Japan.
FAMOUS LANDMARKS
One of their famous landmarks of japan is their giant gundum statue from the
anime show G-Gundum. The capital of japan is Tokyo. Another famous
Landmark of japan is Mount fuji. Mount Fuji located on Honshu Island, is the

highest mountain in Japan. Also Tokyo tower is one of japans famous landmarks.
Tokyo Tower is a communications and observation tower located in the Shiba-koen
district of Minato, Tokyo, Japan, it is the second-tallest structure in Japan
FLAGThe Japanese Flag is a white banner whose center contains a red circle; this circle
represents the sun. The Japanese flag is called Hinomaru, which means "circle of
the sun."
POPULATION
Japan's total population: 127.3 million. It was a record-low birth rate and led
experts to project a population decline of more than 20 million people.
LANGUAGE
The Japanese writing system are of three different character sets: Kanji and
Hiragana and Katakana Japanese texts can be written in two ways. Basic Japanese
grammar is simple. Hard factors such as gender between plural and singular are
missing almost completely.
CULTURE (style of dress/religion)
The culture of Japan has Grown over the millennia, from the country's prehistoric
Jmon period, to its hybrid culture, which combines influences from Asia, Europe,
and North America.
FOOD

The food of japan consists of many ingredients, like sushi and rice. Panese history
has been great increases by its land form. It is made up of four large islands and
thousands of smaller ones. The mountains and volcanoes has lush forests with
rainfall, Land is scarce and so farm land is used for hunting and gathering of food.
This has led to marine as being important Japanese culinary traditions. Japanese
foods throughout its history have been influenced by a sense that food is a part of
the rhythm of life.
