Reason for the Vacancy

APS Malaysia is the flagship for the APS Groups exploitation of the enormous Oil and Gas market
potential for its new InField Liner system. At a local level, major contracts have been, and are about to
be, awarded. In addition, the soon to be realized global commercialization plans for this revolutionary
product will prompt significant worldwide expansion. Against this exciting and dynamic background, it is

The Job
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Engineer will assist in managing the overall project from
initiation until successful completion within a corporate culture focusing sharply upon HSE and
continuous improvement. As a member of the project team, you will be responsible for provision of
technologically sound project design and delivery which will encompass supervision of contractors and
agents as well as offering technical support to the Engineering Department. In addition to participating
in project meetings and providing ongoing reporting, you will make necessary schedule revisions and
direct maintenance work to ensure optimum use of all resources.
The Person
An Engineering Graduate, you have benefitted from formal project management training, ideally
culminating in a Professional Certificate. You have a minimum of seven years project management
experience, at least five of which will have been within the Oil and Gas industry, preferably as a Project
Engineer experienced in IFL EPCIC. During this time, you will have gained exposure to preparation of
detailed planning/work packages (including job card system); performing progress measurement
monitoring and reporting; and operating to the demands of quality management systems and HSE
regulations. An accomplished verbal and written communicator, with a strong command of the English
language, you possess excellent technical report writing skills. Highly organized and always maintaining
a sense of urgency, you are a decisive and results orientated individual capable of prioritizing tasks and
working towards objectives in a committed and dedicated manner.
