NCVPS Spanish 1 Mid-Term Study Guide

The test has a variety of multiple choice, matching, short answer, listening and speaking questions. There will be two parts to the midterm exam that will be completed separately a written/listening exam and a speaking portion. Make sure you do both parts of the exam. Reading: y Be able to recognize questions in Spanish and identify what it is asking. Practice: ¿Cómo se llama usted? This question is asking... y Be able to read a paragraph about weather, dates, season and clothing and answer questions about it in Spanish Writing: y Always write in complete sentences y Be able to write paragraphs about yourself (My name is , I m from I study ., I like to go I m (tall, short, smart, etc) y Match vocabulary to pictures y Match the correct form of the verb with the subject pronouns Example: Match the verb form to the correct subject pronoun Escriben y Yo y Tú y Él y Nosotros y Ellos Listening: y Review alphabet pronunciation (be able to tell what word is being spelled by listening to it) y Recognize numbers as they are spoken y Recognize time as it is spoken Speaking: y You will create sentences based on prompts given you and will record those sentences. y Be prepared to talk about yourself (your name, where you are from, your birthday, descriptions of yourself, things you like to do) Culture: y Know the capitals of the 5 countries we have studied so far. y Be able to recognize a fact from a country and identify which country it belongs to.
