, faculty, staff, administrators, and Arlington business owners and community members to determine the use of the new Juliet space and recommendations for the decision-making process of the college. I, ___________________________, wholeheartedly agree with the proposal put forth by the Ad-Hoc Committee, and strongly recommend that this proposal be taken into account. I firmly believe that these recommendations are reasonable and adequately include the participation of all community members. The current planning of the bookstore relocation was publicly announced right before winter break, which limited the amount of involvement of our student body and the community at large. I believe it is unacceptable that the administration has not incorporated more input in their planning of the bookstore relocation. Therefore, I insist that the mechanisms for decisionmaking described in the document be established in this project and in future projects. Collegesponsored public forums, frequent e-mails, and larger, more inclusive student committees are straightforward methods of increasing accountability and improving our relationship with the Arlington community. Together with the Arlington community, Vassar can make positive changes for all stakeholders of this area. Student and community contributions can sufficiently address the needs of the surrounding area. For this reason, I support the concerns of the Ad-Hoc Committee on Bookstore Relocation and I encourage that the administration adapt these policies in all future projects. Thank you. Sincerely,
