Eclipse of the Sun The Moon is between the Sun and the Earth in a straight line. An eclipse of the Sun can only be observed in daylight. The sky becomes completely dark during the day.

There are 2 types Eclipse of the Moon (Lunar Eclipse) a) A total eclipse – R (whole Moon is in the shadow) b) A partial eclipse – Q and S (part of the Moon is in the shadow)
