Integrate Strategies that Support Diversity and Anti-bias Perspectives

To support diversity and anti-bias perspective I will create and maintain an environment that is
free of bias and stereotypes. The environment will include many visuals of both men and women
doing various community jobs and both taking care of children and household duties. I will teach
my class about racism and show them that we are all the same, we all have feelings, we all get
hurt, and we all have families that love us. I will incorporate each child's culture into our
curriculum one way or another, I will also include cultures that we may not be familiar with. I
will provide multiple opportunities for families to participate in our daily activities and teach us
about their family heritage. I will plan multiple activities that teach us about the many workers
we have in our community. I will provide the children with examples that show them community
workers from different cultures and multi gender that are doing these various jobs. I will provide
materials that support children with different abilities. I will honor diversity through books,
music, visual, and language. Throughout all the different play centers I will provide materials
that include diversity through cultures, gender, and abilities.
