ABOUT HIM
He is a choreographer, director, performer, and dance educator living in
Los Angeles, CA.
First moved to LA in 2004 to perform with the internationally-reowned
dance company Diavolo/Architecture in Motion.
Master of Fine Arts(MFA) in Choreography, Ohio State University.
BA in Dance, Slippery Rock University.
Worked as Visiting Assistant Professor at Loyola Marymount University
from 2008-2011.
Then became Assistant Professor of dance in 2011 at UCIs Claire
Trevor School of the Arts where he teaches modern dance technique,
choreography, improvisation, and contemporary partnering.
performed with several other companies on the west and east coasts
including BODY TRAFFIC, Regina Klenjoski Dance Company,
Palindrome Performance Group, The Pittsburgh Dance Alloy, The
Pittsburgh Metropolitan Opera and Attack Theater.

DANCE, an LA-based dance company combining Halls
signature style, athletic and acrobatic movement .
Multiplex Dances mission statement is to innovative,
accessible dance works and programs that engage audiences
in powerful and creative ways.
Their core values: adventure, empowerment, ingenuity,
inspiration.
With 8 works in the repertory, the company is performing
regularly in festivals, conducting residencies and workshops at
various institutions, and producing a unique brand of
multimedia dance performance called INTERFACE Productions,
incorporating seating in the round and live audience interaction
via mobile phones and social media.

RECOGNITION

Halls choreography was recently shown at the Ailey Citigroup

Theater in New York City

The Tempe Center for the Arts in Arizona, where his company work
was hailed by the Phoenix New Times as ...the standout of the
evening at the Breaking Ground International Dance and Film
Festival.

His latest work From Darkness to Light was selected for the
inaugural run of Pentacles Home Grown @ Bootleg pilot program
in Los Angeles at the Bootleg Theater

Hall is also a sought-after guest artist and choreographer among

dance companies, colleges and universities, and performing arts
high schools across the U.S., having been commissioned over 30
times since 2008.

2012-2014, he performed as a featured soloist with the critically

acclaimed production The Men Dancers: From the Horses Mouth

STATEMENT
After researching Chad Michael Hall we
found a love for his unique and different
choreography. We like how he applies
athletic and acrobatic movement in his
work. As well as, drawing inspiration from
cyper-punk science fiction. Chad Michael
Hall is truly an inspiration and his love for
dance definitely shows it.
