Introduction

There are real ways to lower your energy
use AND your utility bills right now! Reports
and E‐books abound on these topics.
Unfortunately, the ones that are advertised the
hardest all claim to show you how to spend as
little as $200 on a few parts, build some new
fangled device, hook it up to your power box,
and cut your power bills to nothing.
Actually, every one of these methods is a
SCAM, based on untested, imaginary designs, or
impossible to acquire parts.
What I’m going to give you are some
little‐known secrets that actually do reduce your
power bills. These methods are all ʺscience
basedʺ solutions, designed around products that
are available for purchase right NOW.
Like anything else, these methods will
only save you money if you TAKE ACTION and
actually apply this information.

How NASA Technology
can Save You $$$
Everybody knows that if you add more
insulation to your house, you can save money on
your heating and cooling bills. The problem is,
that in existing homes, this process can involve
tearing your walls apart to add the extra
insulation. In most cases, this is very expensive,
and itʹs a big mess!
Luckily, there is a
better way! Today, the same
technology NASA used to
make the Heat Shield tiles for
the Space Shuttle can be used
to insulate your home. This
technology allows you
to reduce your energy
bills with a paintbrush!
A ceramic powder,
made from tiny, glass
spheres with a vacuum
inside, can be added to paint to produce a
radiant barrier. When this material is painted on

and dries, it forms a thin layer of vacuum that
reflects over 90% of the heat that hits it!
That means that if you paint it on the
inside of your home, heat made in your home in
the winter reflects back in, making your home
cheaper to keep warm.
If you add it to paint or primer on the
outside of your house, in the summer time, the
heat from the sun will also be reflected. That
makes it is much more difficult for the heat to
penetrate the wall from the outside, making
your home cheaper and easier to keep cool.
There are even versions of this product
that can be painted under roofing shingles to
reduce attic temperatures by up to 80F!
Comparing all the companies that make
this type of product, HyTech makes the highest
quality additive that is most cost effective to use.
They also have the most testimonials from
satisfied customers!
There is also another company that makes
a pre‐mixed paint that acts as an insulator and a
radiant barrier! Unfortunately, that product is
only available for industry at this time. I will let
you know as soon as it is available to the public.

A Roll Out
Solution for Savings
Another powerfully effective radiant
barrier is aluminum. Aluminum reflects 97% of
the heat that hits it and only lets 3% through.
The US Department of Energy only considers a
material to be a true radiant barrier if it reflects
90% of the heat that hits it, so aluminum has that
beat by far.
90% of the unwanted heat lost or added to
your house is radiant heat gain or loss, and this
issue is rarely dealt with! Most money is put into
standard insulation and this only addresses part
of the problem.
There are many aluminum foil type
products that can be rolled out behind walls,
behind siding, or under shingles. One of the best
applications is to roll it out across the insulation
in your attic.
If the aluminum foil product is rolled out
on top of the insulation, any heat produced
inside the house will have a difficult time
escaping out into the cold because most of it will

be reflected downwards when hitting the radiant
barrier.
Likewise, in the summer, the high heat
that comes into the attic will hit the aluminum
foil and will be reflected back up, so most of the
heat cannot get into the insulation and into your
house through the ceiling!
There are many foil products that are
single layer or more. Some are perforated to let
moisture escape. Some are two‐ply with bubble
wrap in between to provide some insulation, or
dead air space, and so forth.
Comparing all the companies that make a
foil‐over‐foam radiant barrier, PRODEX is the
most cost effective. Recently, they have been
running a special sales price on their website, so
the savings have even been higher. Most rolls
are 4 feet wide and are available in various
lengths.
You simply roll it out and staple it where
you want it. Applications are simple and cost
savings are significant.

Get Cooler for Less

50% of the energy bill for the average
American household is spent on heating and
cooling. Air conditioning and cooling would be
about half of that, or about 25% of the average
energy bill. It is very rare when something
becomes available that actually allows you to
slash an expense this large by up to 90%, while

I don’t make a dime for recommending
this technology. It is just the most cost effect and
practical way to cool your home that is available
NOW and just makes sense to do it.

Avoid the Scams!
While there are many fine resources

available to help you save money on home
energy bills, it appears that the most popular E‐
books in this field are absolute SCAMS.
I’ve been involved with exotic energy
technologies for many years, and I can tell you
truthfully, there are currently NO AMAZING
INVENTIONS, available right now, that the
average person can build with off the shelf parts
for a few hundred dollars to instantly eliminate
all their power bills!!!!!
When you see claims like this, that you
can spend a few hundred bucks to build some
ʺmagnetic generatorʺ that you can hook to your
home and eliminate your power bills, I assure
you, it is a scam. The truth is, the average
person is not qualified to make a ʺball‐point penʺ
at home, much less a ʺfree energy generatorʺ!
Some of these books tell you how to set
up your own solar energy system, where you
can get slightly damaged solar cells for little to
no cost. It doesn’t matter! Even if someone gave

you all the solar cells for free, you still have to
spend quite a bit of MONEY, TIME and EFFORT
to properly mount them and wire them together.
Even then, you still couldnʹt power your
home with this because solar panels produce DC
electricity and everything in your home uses AC
electricity. You would still need to buy a large,
expensive battery bank and a DC‐to AC inverter.
These items add thousands of dollars of cost to
the project. There are also other issues that the
average person will not know about until
AFTER getting ripped off by these unscrupulous
authors.
So, when you see an advertisement, or an
E‐book making these sorts of claims, remember
the old rule of thumb, ʺif it seems too good to be
true, it probably isʺ!
Many of these rip‐offs are supported by
fake testimonials, fake ʺreview pagesʺ on the
Internet, lucrative affiliate programs, and
massive advertising. Just use your common
sense, and if you get caught in one of these
scams, DEFINITELY ask for your money back!!
There are real ways to save money on
home energy bills, but getting RIPPED OFF is
not a good place to start.

The Rest of the Story
Although I have over 35 years experience
in building, researching, and teaching about
advanced energy technologies, including being a
popular Conference presenter, I am currently
warning people against going directly to
alternative energy sources for powering a home
or business.
