Unique Part Time Opportunity for Trade Expert

Run Hope Work, a non-profit organization that provides job training and
other services to at risk populations, is seeking a part time trade
teacher for our vocational classes. This position would begin in late
November and continue through February 2016.
The trade teacher leads a class of approximately 10 adult students
through a curriculum that is a survey of the finish trades. Must be
proficient in lecture style teaching and hands-on instruction. Must be
comfortable working with at risk populations, and sensitive to their
circumstances.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with the finish trades
- Hands-on experience in the following: flooring, drywall, painting
and/or millwork
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom
- Reliable car transportation
- Available to work three mornings a week (20 hours)
- Passion for public service
Preferred:
- Non-profit/social work experience
- Experience in the trade education field- teaching apprenticeship
courses, etc
- Interest in running

The vocational training course in the trades is one component of threepart Run Hope Work program that also includes running training and
motivational workshops. Together, these elements equip participants
for successful careers and futures. The trade teacher must understand
and support the overall goals of Run Hope Work, and help motivate and
support students throughout the process.
