The Revelation (403)

Today, we have become consumers of complex products. In our homes we have products like
radios, televisions, fridges, washing machines, computers and hand-held devices like tablets
and mobile sets. Each product that we use is carefully designed and manufactured to fulfill a
need or purpose. A number of questions may be asked at this point. Would any manufacturer
make a product without a specific purpose, i.e., design a product that does not fulfill a need?
Also, what would a manufacturer or user do with a product that does not fulfill its purpose?
Not unlike the design or blueprint of each man-made product, every living organism contains its
very own unique design internally stored in the form of DNA {1, 2}. A unique design implies an
effort that is individual and specific to each living being, i.e., purposeful design. In addition, all
DNA on earth have the same basic building blocks {3}. Does this imply that all DNA designs
come from the same source? Could this mean that all living organisms have ONE and the
SAME unseen Designer?
Unlike the limited procreation powers of a common ancestor {3}, the Designer has designed
hundreds of different species with similar functional characteristics, e.g., binocular vision {4}.
The Designer then has had to arrange for the procreation and sustenance of each different
species. A logical hypothesis that can be drawn in light of this type of evidence is that all living
organisms, including human beings, have been designed and created by the same Powerful
Being. Can we run away from the fact that this hypothesis is confirmed not by one, but by all
revealed Holy Scriptures? As examples, we find, the following Verses:
He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise
forever. [NLT, Psalm 146:6] {5}
To the LORD your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and
everything in it. [Deuteronomy 10:14] {6}
And in the Quran:
Indeed, your guardian-Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six days
and then firmly established Himself on the Throne (of authority) [7.54]
The Quran also reveals the reason:
Have you not seen (considered) that Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth?
If He so will He can remove you and put (in your place) a new creation. [14.19] {7}
What could the phrase in truth mean? As a similar example, how can an artist establish the
truth of the fact that he/she is an artist? The value of a painting stands witness to the greatness
of the artist! Similarly, does each and every created being stand witness to the greatness and
quality of the Creator? As far as establishing the truth or separating the truth from falsehood is
concerned, what could the purpose of the creation of intellectual human beings be? Among all
living beings, which species has the ability to intellectually witness the truth of the Creator?
Could the purpose of intelligent humans be to discover, witness and proclaim the truth of the
Creator? On the contrary, how should the Creator look upon those who actively work to deny
the existence of the Creator? For example, insisting and propagating the theory of evolution {3},
i.e., putting forward theories that deny the existence of the Creator and mislead people?
Attempts to disprove the existence of the Creator would be a major sin against the Creator and
His Purpose in creating human intelligence. On this subject, the Quran contains the following
verses at the end of Chapter 14, i.e., Sura Ibraheem.
Think not that Allah does not heed the deeds of those who do wrong. He but gives them
respite against a Day when the eyes will fixedly stare in horror. [14.42]

A description of the horror that will be experienced by such people is given in the next Verse.
On that Day the Day of Judgment, people who have sinned against the Creator would be
running around, staring in terror at what is about to happen to them when they face Him.

14.43 Racing ahead, their heads raised up, their glance does not come back to
them, and their hearts are void.
The eyes and hearts of such people would panic and not know what to do. The Holy Scriptures
including the Quran have been revealed as a warning to the event of the Day of Judgment.

14.44 So (O, Muhammad), warn mankind of the Day when the punishment will be
given. Those who did wrong will say, "Our Lord, delay (punishment) for us (if
only) for a short term; we will answer Your Call and follow the apostles!" (But it
will be said), "What? Did you not swear on earth that you would not lose the
benefits that you had?
While on earth, disbelievers do not accept that they will be accountable for their deeds on the
Day of Judgment, nor do they believe that they would ever lose their status or wealth they will
be reminded of their sin of disbelief on the Day of Judgment.

14.45 And you lived among the dwellings of those who wronged their souls
while you clearly saw how We dealt with them. And We presented many examples
for you to understand!
On the contrary, many created plots, e.g., sinned by propagating false theories that deny the
existence of the Creator, thereby misguided themselves and their followers among mankind.

14.46 Mighty indeed were the plots which they made but their plots were (well)
within the sight of Allah even though they were of such magnitude as to shake
the hills!
14.47 So never think that Allah would fail in His promise to His messengers.
Indeed, Allah is Exalted in power, the Lord of Retribution.
14.48 It will be on that Day that the Earth will be changed and so will the Heavens
and all will appear before Allah, the One, the Irresistible;
14.49 And you will see the Sinners bound together in irons,
14.50 Their garments will be of liquid pitch and their faces covered by the Fire;
14.51 That Allah may reward each soul according to its deserts; and verily Allah
is swift in calling account.
14.52 This (Quran) is a notification for mankind so that they may be warned and
let them know that He is (no other than) One Allah (The God) and therefore let
men of understanding take heed.
