Procedures:
1. Teacher will go over PowerPoint of each classification
2. Teacher will split up the class into groups of three or four
3. Teacher will give out printed pictures of the different animals along with the
title of each classification
4. Students will put each animal in one of the five classifications
5. Students will pull up the kidpix app
6. Students will draw a rectangle and divide it into 16 equal parts
7. Teacher will ask the students to color in the number of Amphibians in the
rectangle
8. Students will then write down the fraction of the Amphibians on the piece of
paper
9. Teacher will ask the students to color in the number of Birds in the rectangle
with a different color
10.Students will then write the fraction of the Birds on the paper
11.Teacher will ask the students to color in the number of Fish in the rectangle
with a different color
12.Students will then write the fraction of the Fish on the paper
13.Teacher will ask the students to color in the number of Mammals in the
rectangle with a different color
14.Students will then write the fraction of the Mammals on the paper
15.Teacher will ask the students to color in the number of reptiles in the
rectangle with a different color
16.Students will then write the fraction of the reptiles on the paper
