Personal Skills

This Personal Skills Inventory is intended to support your personal reflection. You are not required to complete an entry
for every box or every skill, and you may wish Inventory
to add rows to particular skills. The “Learning” column should identify what
you have learnt about how you work in a group from the experience. If you have had little experience of using a
particular skill, you should consider how you might get more experience and whether that skill should become a
developmental priority.

Outcome

Learning

The meal had gone
well and I was proud
that I was able to do
something for my
local people and local
mosque.

I learned that you
shouldn’t panic in
certain situations that
can go bad and that
you instead should
take initiative and try
to deal with the
situation the best you
can.
I leant that even
though you might not
be the most confident
person, my mental
thinking process is
the main factor in
building confidence
or losing it and
ultimately this
reflects through my
speech and body
language.

The outcome was a
reasonable one as I
managed to knock
£200 off the asking
price and we
managed to buy the
car for £1800 instead
of £2000.

We participated in the
football tournament
and as there were so
many teams, games
came quick and fast
and we had to be
organised. The team
morale had to be high
and we had to be
organised.
I carefully prepared a
lesson plan with all
types of learning
styles in mind and
therefore I decided to
make a presentation
to assist visual
learners, speak
clearly to assist
auditory learners and
take props to assist
kinaesthetic learners.

Outcome

Learning

The outcome was
great as we won the
football tournament
through our
teamwork and skill.

Team unity is a strong
part of team sports
and this ultimately
effects all aspects of
someone’s game. It
effects his/her
performance, skills,
confidence and
character.

The outcome was
great as the lesson
went perfectly. This
was evident in my
after lesson review by
my course leader and
she was impressed
with the level of
thought that I had
given into preparing
the lesson. The class
had also enjoyed the
lesson.

I learnt a huge deal in
this experience as the
lesson was
successful. The main
reason for the
success was the
amount that I had
prepared for the
lesson.

The outcome was
that I successfully

This experience was a
key factor and even

The outcome was

I was interesting
seeing how I had
progressed in such a
short space of time
and the SWOT

me to make one more
often on new tasks
that I start to
determine how I
develop personally.
The outcome this
time was not very
good as I was
unsuccessful in
getting the job due to
my ‘lack of
experience and
knowledge.’

Learning

My personal
development is quite
rapid on new tasks
that I start and I can
record my personal
development by
making a SWOT
analysis or something
similar.

This was a big
learning curve for me
as I realised the
research that I did
was not good enough
and that I had to
research in more
depth in the future.

The outcome of the

the outcome of the
