Observation for an hour:

I noticed that all learners were not the same when it comes to receiving
information. Meaning that some learners could take more time and effort
from teacher to get the information, and some could take less.
This class have some weaknesses and strengths as I believe all classes
do. An example of weakness in this class that student are mostly loud,
especially when they want to answer. That will probably affect negatively
on lower level students and special needs students because they
wouldnt have the chance to answer. As for strength point in this class
that they help each other, and they cooperate instead of being selfish
and too competitive.
There are learners in this class who finish faster than the rest of the
class, and what they usually do after they finish is to offer help to a
student who has not finished yet. Like Ive mentioned before they help
each other in general.
There are learners who does not finish on time when they have a
question or a task. In this case, the teacher has two ways to deal with
them. Either to re-explain the task and give more time to let them think
until they finish, or to make a student who has finished the task help one
of them.
In this class there is one student with special needs, she has a condition
of slow understanding. The teacher deals with her by asking her if she
understand or need more explanation after each lesson, also when she
have an exam the teacher read it and explain it to her before she starts
it. And lastly there is a specialist for special needs students only to make
sure that their needs provided.
Ive got an idea about managing different levels in the class from my
observation. Ive noticed that its mostly about balancing time and work
with learners from different levels. The teacher tries to keep the balance
between students who need more time to learn and those who finish
faster. For example, if learners finish before the rest of the class she asks
them to help students who haven't finished yet. And if a lower level
student doesnt understand she re-explain for the whole class not just for
her. So all students are busy and paying attention. However, I think that
the most important thing to manage different levels is to pay enough
attention to each student, so the teacher knows what each learner needs
to develop.
