John Engler a politician who has dedicated his career for the improvement of
the United States

wrote this article for the purpose of informing the Citizens of

the states why immigrants could help the countrys economy flow within the next 20
years. John also gives statistics that demonstrate how immigrants contribute in
making new jobs for a great amount of people living in the U.S. John finally
persuades the reader by stating We urge Congress and the president to put the
U.S. economy first and fix our broken immigration system.
This source is relevant to my issue in a sense that I am trying to not only inform but
also persuade citizens to be for allowing immigrants to live with us for the benefit of
all.

Immigration by Mexican families and individuals began in the 1980's by major
reforms in the U.S. The site gives information on the percentage of the
population living in the U.S. that were from another country and most being
from Mexico. Although immigration really bagen back during the times of

WW2 due to the need of agricultural workers by companies in the U.S. This
website later describes how many immigrants only come to the U.S. in the
search of a job but a few others come to the states in order to get an
education.
This source gives my topic a background in which I could relate due to the
circumstances that my family came to the U.S to have a better opportunity to excel
in our lives, which also compliments the reason why I chose this topic for the
semester.

Basu, T. (2015, September 28). How the past 50 years of immigration changed
America. Time, 1. Retrieved from http://time.com/4050914/1965-immigrationact-pew/
This website gives information on how in the past 50 years that America has
prioritized skill level workers immigrants have a huge part in our economy not only
because it creates more jobs but also for the reason that it allows for money to flow
withing our economic system. There is a part where the author describes how more
immigrants are coming into the U.S. to get a better education which helps in the
long term as these immigrants become skilled workers and they contribute on
creating more jobs for Americans.
This article has useful information on the reason why I support Immigrants to be
able to come into our country. Many people believe that immigrants come in to take
the jobs of many Americans but in reality they contribute on making more jobs.
