I will say something like

1. Yesterday we listened to Miss Veronicas Remembrance Day presentation.
2. I would then remind the students that we talked about soldiers, and wars, and that we are
currently memorizing a famous poem Flanders fields which is a symbol of Remembrance
Day.
3. I would then tell them that today we would be learning a little more in depth about
Remembrance Day and the different events that happened at that time. I would then open m
PowerPoint presentation and ask the students to please raise their hands if they wish to ask

Closure/Transition
Once the PowerPoint presentation is finished, I will:
-Hand out the worksheets
-Read the questions in order to make sure the required task is well understood.

The PowerPoint presentation will be a helpful tool to complete the worksheet. If the students we
paying attention, listened to the information presented and looked at the pictures posted then
completing the task should not be too difficult to complete.

Evaluation:
5 mins

In order for this lesson to be effective, students must participate and pay attention during the
lesson. If the students did not engage in the lesson, then the activity will not be as interesting an
may not be understood. Secondly, during the completion of the worksheet, if the children were
able to chime in and absorb the information presented, then we can conclude that they were
actively listening and have successfully learned and completed the activity.

Differentiation:
1. Use diagnostic assessments to determine student readiness. These assessments can be
formal or informal. Teachers can give pre-tests, question students about their backgroun
knowledge, or use KWL charts (charts that ask students to identify what they
already Know, what they Want to know, and what they have Learned about a topic).
2. The teacher will go and re-explain the activity to the child if he/she didnt understand.
