Notes: wrote z backwards but it was fixed over hand.
Bog was written instead of dog however he still read it correctly.
He also read bad correctly.

Impression: This intervention went really well for Andrew. We came a little earlier than normal so he was still eating dinner. He was quieter for
this intervention at the beginning but then he got into the swing of things. Once we got started, Andrews focus was on target up until the very end.
Andrew was engaged through all of the intervention activities until we told him we were going to pretend to do the three things that were on the to
do list. He said ,I dont want to. Once he found out how long it was going to be and that he had control over how fast he got everything done, he
was willing to pretend to complete the three things on the to do list.
The goals we worked on today were more at his level and so he enjoyed them more than the last time we came. The goals have been simplified
and thus made more applicable to Andrew.
Objective Description of Data and Observations:
Activity #1: Roll the Dice & Activity #2: Write the letters from the dice
Andrew answered correctly to the words that were created from rolling the dice 10/11 times he was prompted. He was above his target goal this
week. Kendra would have him roll the dice and then she would read off letters that corresponded with the numbers rolled on the die. Andrew then
would sound out each letter, read the word and then tell us if the word was a real word or a fake word. Andrew was on target with his goal in
reading as well. When prompted for the reading activity, Andrew was on target 18 out of 20 times. There was a word given to Andrew that had a z
in it. He was prompted 3 times verbally but every time the z was written backwards. When Andrew was given a physical assist to write the letter z
the correct way and then verbally prompted to write a z he was able to write the z correctly with any physical assist.
Activity #3: To do list
Andrew was on target 8 out of the 9 times he was prompted. In this activity he is above his goal. 5 of the prompts he was on target for 6 were
verbal, 2 were visual, and 1 was a verbal model. Only 1 of the verbal prompts was missed. This goal was taken from remembering 4 step
instructions to following one at a time.
Assessment and Evaluation:
During the reading and writing portion of the intervention we took it slow and looked at one letter at a time. In giving Andrew one letter at a time
it made it possible for him to focus on the sound of the individual letter, spell it, say it, and tell if the word was a real or a fake word. Repeating
these steps showed that they were a help to Andrew. There were a couple of letters Andrew was still having trouble with such as z or the letters b
and d especially when writing bed. Andrew will usually write deb for bed. The picture of a bed over the letter bed was shown to him and he did
the same thing that he saw me do. This shows that Andrew has the desire to learn and wants to succeed. He also showed that he is capable of
writing and reading his letters correctly and sometimes there are hiccups that need to be ironed out.
Andrew did really well with the instruction portion this week as we took the goal from 4 steps to remember all at once to 1 at a time. In being
above target on his goals this week shows us that Andrew is capable of following and remembering directions just not 4 at one time. Simplifying
this goal has brought the goal down to Andrews level and pace and is no longer in the frustration zone but rather in the zone of proximal
development.
Plan:

For the next intervention this week we will continue with giving one instruction at a time and doing that one thing before moving on to the next
activity. Instead of a to do chart it will be one for regulating emotions. For reading and writing we know that he is on target every time we keep it
simple and give one letter at a time so we will do a bingo game where he will have to write in the words and then as the game is played he will
have to read the words and place the marker on his board.
