2016 Speaker/Panelist Application (1/5)

The 2016 Oregon Ghost Conference is now looking for speakers and panelists for our 5th
annual event. Fill out this application prior to December 31 st, 2015 to be considered for our
2016 line-up. Due to the popularity of this event we cannot promise that everyone who applies
will be selected as a speaker or a panelist. We have a limited schedule and will select
speakers and panel topics on a variety of topics. If you have several topics in mind, please
submit them all as we are constantly looking for new topics and ideas. Also, feel free to fill out
an Oregon Ghost Conference Course Proposal Form if you are interested in teaching a class
on a topic of your choice.

Speaker/Panelist Rules and Regulations:


All Speakers will be expected to follow the Oregon Ghost Conference Rules and
Regulations and will be asked to sign a contract if selected to speak at the 2016 Oregon
Ghost Conference. Speakers agree to speak on a voluntary basis but will receive the
following benefits:
*Oregon Ghost Conference Speakers are entitled to One Free Booth space, either an
Information booth or a Vendor Booth. This includes a 6ft Table, two chairs and access
to one electrical outlet if needed. Speakers who want a booth space must also fill out a
Vendor Form or Information Table Form. (We recommend that you wait to purchase a
vendor space until you find out if you have been selected as a speaker for this year.)
Speakers and panelists will also get free a General Admission Pass to the conference
weekend.
We will do our best to work with our guest speakers and panelists, but the allotment of time is
solely at the discretion of the organizers. Due to the interest of this event we cannot guarantee
that you will be selected.

Oregon Ghost Conference Rules and Regulations:
Speakers/panelists agree to abide by these rules and regulations and any amendments made
by the organizers for the governance, safe operation, and management of the event.
a) Topics/discussions should be secular (not religious based) and should be geared to
a diverse audience and age group.
b) Speakers must arrange all audio/visual needs prior to the event by emailing your
needs to bradly@oregonghostconference.com. Speaker must work with event staff to
set up any audio/visual equipment and ensure it is working prior to their presentation
and in a manner which does not present a safety hazard to the public, volunteers, or
employees, and only in the space allotted to them by the organizers.
c) Speaker/panelist must be appropriate for a family friendly venue. No profanity,
promotion of violence, illegal activity, weapons, alcohol consumption or other subjects
that may be found offensive in the view of the organizers will be permitted.
d) No sharing of your time slot with a co-speaker is allowed without the consent of the
organizers.
e) Northwest Walking Tours LLC, Seaside Civic and Convention Center and the Oregon
Ghost Conference, their employees and/or volunteers will not be held responsible for
any personal injury, loss, theft, damages, or attachment of other worldly entities incurred
by the speaker(s)/panelist(s) at, in or around the Conference or at any Conference
events.
f) Speaker/Panelist agrees to be courteous to the attendees, audience, organizers, their
employees and/or volunteers and the staff of the venues.
g) If all rules and regulations are not followed the Oregon Ghost Conference Director
has the right to ask, and expect, the speaker to vacate the premises immediately.
h) Speaker agrees not to use their allotted time as a commercial to promote or sell any
goods or services without permission of the Conference Director. Sales are confined to
your booth space and not allowed on stage.

*Speakers/panelists will be notified if they have been selected for the 2016 Conference
and will be sent a Confirmation Form/Contract. Speaker will not be considered an
official OGC2016 Speaker until their Confirmation Form/Contract is submitted.

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 31, 2015.
