Term Project

Each and every group will consist of 6-7students. Once the group is
formed the same needs to be uploaded in Google doc.
One of the group members will play the role of group coordinator.
Highlight the name of the group communicator in bold.
Coordinator is expected to coordinate with the members to complete the
project and submit the report as per the schedule.
Coordinator needs to upload the sector and the source of data at the
earliest (latest by 23rd October, 2015) in the Google doc.
Students are highly encouraged to gather the data from the secondary
source like databases, internet or data from the companies etc.
However, if some sensible study is being carried out, with the reasonable
sample size (at least 300), primary data may be collected and analyzed.
Scope of project may fall into any of the following categories: Data
Analysis/Industry Analysis/Latest Trends & Technology/ Onlinearticle discussions etc.,

The data obtained needs to be analyzed using the tools and techniques
learned as part of the course or the tools relevant to the course. Students
are expected to use either Excel/SPSS/R software.
Coordinator is expected to send the softcopy of the report
(to:smaheswaran@imtnag.ac.in) containing not more than 20 pages on or
before 31st December, 2015. File name should be: Section, in upper
case, followed by Group No.docx (for example group no 1 of sec DEF,
the filename will be DEF1.docx). Only word document will be
accepted. Students are also expected to send the data files along with
relevant analysis outputs. Subject line of this mail should be: BA Project
Submission-DEF1 in case of section DEF and group no 1.
If required viva/presentation will be conducted to evaluate the project.

Report should contain the following


a) Industry/company profile/ Literature review
b) Objectives of the study
c) Methodology
d) Analysis and findings with implications
e) Conclusion and scope for further study
f) Bibliography
If any member of the group is not participating/contributing to the project
may be communicated to me, through mail, by members of the group and
the senders details will be kept confidential.

Groups which like to meet me to discuss about the project may send me
the mail with subject line indicating section & group no. (BA- Project
Discussion-ABC1) to seek an appointment. This mail needs to be sent
to smaheswaran@imtnag.ac.in

Note:
1. Students are expected to go through the guidelines pertaining to
examinations given in the students handbook to understand the
implications of plagiarism.
2. Kindly send the proposals at the earliest to get the approval and start the
work. If you submit your proposal in the last week of October and if I
disapprove the same then you may not have much time to complete the work.
3. All communications and discussions regarding the project will also be used to
evaluate the project.
