OBJECTIVES
Development of robust and low price
automated gaze tracking systems for disabled
people.
The voluntary controlled eye movements can
be used to create human - machine interface
A relatively inexpensive, real time system for
gaze tracking is proposed as a human- computer
interface.
The mouse cursors on the computer screen is
moved synchronously with the eye movement.

BACKGROUND ANALYSIS
Principal component analysis (PCA)
PCA is a statistical procedure that consists of
covariance structure of variable data analysis.

Nine eye classes plotted on the feature space

TECHNOLOGICAL
APPROACH

Artificial Neural Network

What is Artificial Neural Network ?

An artificial neural network is an interconnected
group of nodes, akin to the vast network of neurons
in a brain.
Neuron network (NN) and especially Radial base
functions network (RBF)
is used in proposed
algorithm

HARDWARE
Data from camera is transferred to computer
through standard USB connection
The camera has been remotely located in a
separate cable interface module.
The DPC-4210M micro CCD colour video camera, it
capture Pixels NTSC: 510x492, PAL: 500x582.
Camera Size 0.5 (L) x 0.5 (W) x 0.75 (H) Inch [13 x
13 x 19 mm].

Calibration of the System

Eye images is collected when user was observing
the calibration points.
For the calibration of the system 9 monitor points
are used
Calibration points are stored in the system in the
form of pixels.

ALGORITHM
Compensate the Blinking Effect
Collection of frames by looking at calibration
monitor
Action Timings are set
Image is converted to Pixels

APPLICATIONS
Used for Physically Disabled People
Reduce Workload of Human
Used in Security Systems

FUTURE WORK
Wireless Instead of Wired Networks
Can be Implemented in the field of Robotics
Used in Gaming field
