Materials and Method

The materials needed are as follows: aratilis leaves,fractional distiller,1 meter

tube,tripad,flask,cork,wire gauze,bunsen burner, strainer,mortar and pestle.

General Procedure
The researcher will first pick aratilis leaves and rinse it all of with water.Juicyness of the
leaves comes up with its freshness. Then,the researcher mix aratilis leaves with the water solvent
in different amount and was put into several trials(refer to table 1.1).The researcher will now
crush the leaves finely by using mortar and pestle and used ac thin towel for squeezing the leaves
to extract the alcohol content and filter the juice using a strainer.Next,the researcher use
improvised fractional distiller putting cork and 1 meter tube extending to each top of the
flask.The researcher transfer it into a flask and place it onto the wire gauze lying on the
tripod and boiled by the bunsen burner.
