Monday, April 7, 2008 commencing at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Doug Knoll Councillors Dom Corbett Don Greve Dennis Helmuth Terry Hinz, Ted Janzen Don Reimer Staff Nicole LaChance, Town Administrator Colin Aebig, Outside Superintendent Press Rod Andrews, The Saskatchewan Valley News The meeting was called to order by Mayor Knoll at 6:55 p.m. Corbett: That the agenda for the April 7, 2008 regular meeting be accepted as. amended. CARRIED. Corbett: That the minutes of the March 17, 2008 regular meeting be adopted. CARRIED, Sheldon Gellner, Farm & Garden Centre, entered the room at 7:00 p.m. Sheldon Geliner left the meeting at 7:25 p.m. Kelly Johnston/Josh Buniak - Workshop 80.2008 Corbett: That Kelly Johnston and Josh Buniak be authorized to attend a confined space entry and a water and wastewater workers’ WHMIS and safety course being held in Nipawin on April 29 and 30, with associated costs being paid by the municipality. CARRIED. Outside Workers’ Holidays 81.2008 ‘Helmuth: That the following holiday schedule for outside workers be approved: Colin Kelly Dan’ Moby Barry Joshua CARRIED. CARRIED. Landfill Fees 84.2008 Hinz: That the landfill fees be set as follows: Burmables or LORAAS bin ~ Yeton (3 yd!) or trailer - $25/load or $12/half load Si/bag Appliances - $S/each Compost - Free Conerete - $40/construction load or 3-ton truck Shingles ~ Residential house or garage $25 ~ Commercial building $50 ‘Renovation or Demolition - $50/construetion load or 3-ton truck CARRIED. Valley Action Waste Management Contract $85,000.00 85,2008 Greve: That Council accept Valley Action’s contract price of $83,112.56 for 2008, and that a three-year contract continue to be negotiated. (appears as amended by #94,2008, Apr. 21/08) CARRIED. Amend Bylaw — Waste Management 86.2008 Janzen: That the administrator draft an amendment to the Waste Management Bylaw to reflect residential and commercial waste management fees. CARRIED. Angus Machntyre entered the meeting at 8:00 p.m. Angus Machntyre left the meeting at 8:30 p.m. Regular Meeting Monday, April 7, 2008 Page 3 Cardlock ~ Emergency Vehicles 87.2008 Corbeit: That the Town acquire cardlock cards for emergency vehicles to use when the fuel supplier which the Town has a contract with is not open. CARRIED. SUMA Self Insurance. (rescinded by 122.2008, May 5, 2008) 90.2008 Helmuth; That the Town commit to participate in the SUMA Self Insurance Program fora three-year term. CARRIED.
