FOXVALE ANNUAL TOURNAMENT RULES
1. ENTRANTS MUST BE MEMBERS OF THE
FOXAVALE WOMEN'S BOWLING ASSOCIATION.
2. All averages used must be in USBC Sanctioned
Leagues. YABA or Collegiate Division averages for
previous season will be accepted. Entrants must use
their highest average bowled as a regular member or
as a substitute in the following descending order:
A. Highest average for 21 games or more as of
the end of the Previous Winter Season
B. Highest Summer average of at least 21 games.
C. Highest Current average minimum of 15 games
as of Entry Closing Date.
2a. The Ten - Pins - Over - Average - USBC rule
319A-2 will apply, reporting of tournament prize
earnings. USBC rule 319D will not apply. USBC
rule 319E is waived. All winners averages will be
subject to verification.

10. In the event of a tie for 1st place, Co-Champions will
be declared and duplicate awards and medals shall be
awarded. In the case of ties for any position, the monetary
prizes will be combined and divided equally among the tied
position winners.
11. All prize money will be awarded on a handicap basis
within 2 weeks of the completion of the tournament.
The association will augment the total prize fund, if needed,
to allow for appropriate monetary awards for the handicap
winners.
12. The tournament will be conducted in accordance with
the USBC Rules governing Local Association Tournaments
and the USBC General Playing Rules, in addition to the above
rules.
13. Any appeal or protest concerning scoring shall be made
in writing and submitted to the Tournament Secretary within
48 hours after the game was played. No games may be
rebowled.

A bowler may not bowl more than once in an event.

4. All bowlers must report for registration with their
Sanction Card 30 minutes prior to start of tournament
5. Substitutes are allowed when available. The Tournament
Secretary must be advised of substitutions at least 1 hour before
the scheduled time to bowl, if possible. In case of an emergency
after a game has started, a substitute, if available, shall be allowed
in the doubles events only. The combined scores will count.
If no substitutes are available, only the actual score of the frames
bowled shall count. A player, once replaced, cannot return
to bowl for the balance of that event.

Bowlers entered in doubles must enter singles and vise versa.

Handicap base is 80% of 200.

8. No moneys shall be refunded under any circumstances
to any entrant unless the tournament is canceled. In the
event that any event cannot be held due to circumstances
beyond our control, all moneys for the canceled event
shall be refunded not later than 30 days following the
scheduled date to bowl.
9. An individual may win both scratch and handicap
awards in all of the events.

14. No food or beverages in the settee area. No
one is allowed in the settee area except bowlers,
scorekeepers and tournament officials. Smoking
and alcoholic beverages are prohibited during
the tournament.
15. CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED
BY SOMEONE OTHER THAN THE BOWLER .
You may have a responsible person keep score
for you. The same settee rules apply to all
scorekeepers.
16. The Foxvale Board of Directors shall decide
any questions not covered by the rules.
