Day 15 the revival has begun.

Hi folks,
Yesterday I had to drive to Houston on business which meant I would not be making it out to the prayer
vigil until very late. As I sat in a Starbucks drinking a hot chocolate before our first meeting I received a
text from David Roman, owner of Roman Cucina Italian restaurants. He told me that he had contacted
Haggard Property Group after learning they were a Christian family and asked them why they are leasing
to Planned Parenthood.
Coincidentally he uses them to lease some of his own properties.
They told him Planned Parenthood doesnt do abortions and he reminded them that theyre a feeder
location for their abortion business. And then he texted me that a clinic worker had created a sign and
placed it in her window.
The sign said, My body. My sexuality. My vagina. My morals. My life. My choice.
Here is a picture that a pro lifer took of the sign:

She is not the first person to proclaim ownership of her body and her choices, but what does the Bible
tell us about our bodies? Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in
you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore
honor God with your bodies. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
The secular world defiles their bodies and the consequences are horrific. In this instance we have a clinic
worker writing her philosophy of life the rules that she and so many others embrace that have created
altars of human sacrifice.
God is not mentioned.
She proclaims it is HER life, but the Bible says, For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but
whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. Luke 9:24
When I received the text I knew immediately which clinic worker had written that sign because she
had already gone home and written two signs on previous days. She even wrote a full page of scripture
verses and handed it to one of us.
Sinners are usually only familiar with scripture verses that fit their lifestyle, Judge not lest ye be
judged.
But they forget the Bible tells us there is a perfect judge.
A woman that represents this mode of thinking rolled her window down earlier this week and yelled,
Youre judging people and youre a hypocrite.
She was stuck in traffic so the pro lifers had a chance to engage her in conversation. A person holding a
pro life sign said he couldnt judge anyone even if I wanted to do it since he didnt have that kind of
authority.
Who among us can exalt a saint into heaven or condemn a sinner into hell except Jesus Christ?
If sinners were judging other sinners regarding their eternal destiny it would be hypocrisy and as
hypocrites they might be very lenient. What we think of as justice likely wouldnt happen.
But the bad news for sinners is that we will stand before a holy, sinless God. And that judge is a lot more
serious than some men and women holding signs and praying.
The consequences could not be more serious.
Sinners dont fear God, but as Christians were told, The fear of the LORD is the beginning of
knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7
We dont have to sit and think long and hard to locate the fools of our generation. Theyre the folks
who sit comfortably in their living rooms watching television created by sinners for sinners as their once
godly society crumbles around them.

Theyre the people who wink at sin, In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he
commands all people everywhere to repent. Acts 17:30
When God issues his verdict there is no appeal and no defense. Jesus knew this and that is why he
offered himself as a substitute so that we would not perish.
And so we proclaim the name of Jesus Christ who faced our judgment and took our punishment and
descended into hell and defeated death. We proclaim him to the clinic workers and to those driving by
who are wondering how they can rescued from the coming judgment.
And sometimes their request for help is framed as an insult. We have to remind ourselves that theyre
approaching those who they perceive as the enemy for help.
Sin eventually leads desperate people to desperate measures. Thankfully God sends all of you to offer a
helping hand.
You are the human road signs to a living God!
The fact that a clinic worker is going home and thinking about our presence is confirmation that the Holy
Spirit is working on her. We saw these telltale signs last Saturday when we were introduced to a new
security guard. Many of you have been praying for the previous security guard (Chris) on Saturday he
trained the new guard (Yousif). The new guard walked up to us and asked, Do you really think this clinic
is going to close?
A pro lifer answered, Probably, but even if it doesnt were going to keep standing and praying.
The security guard responded, I dont think its going to close. Have you been inside the clinic?
The pro lifer told him that if he attempted to walk on the parking lot they would be upset and the cops
would be called if he walked into the clinic.
The guard smiled and said, Well, Ive been inside and Ive talked to them. Theyre completely unfazed
by this protest.
And then the guard was told about Sherman, TX and the clinic closure. He was told about Ramona
Trevino, the former clinic manager, who is the outreach director for this campaign. He was told about 4
years of sacrifice in McKinney and the clinic closure.
The security guard thought it was amazing that a former clinic worker was standing with us.
He was also told about the people who drive by and do great things for God. As they were discussing it
Shaun Burgess (a person who was driving by in McKinney) walked up. And he heard about the revivals at
Collin College.
Eventually the security guard walked back to his post and about 15 minutes later all of the clinic workers
emptied out of the building. Several pro lifers were standing by the cars praying as the clinic workers
approached their cars to go home.

The clinic worker who had previously hand written two signs yelled, Your sign is a lie!
She was looking at a sign that said, Men regret lost fatherhood.
My ex-boyfriend owes me $60,000 in child support payments.
A pro lifer said, God loves you and we love.
No you dont! she yelled.
Were the friends you havent met yet. A pro lifer responded.
Im not friends with idiots! she screamed and continued on for another minute or two ranting and
raving. Meanwhile, the other clinic workers were in their cars smiling and waving at the pro lifers.
And most importantly, the security guard who had minutes ago said they were completely unfazed
looked on from the other side of her car in amazement as the clinic worker berated the pro lifers.
A pro lifer walked up to the security guard and said, As you can see she is very upset.
The security guard responded, I shouldnt talk to any of you until they all leave.
When confronted with the love of God through his church on the grass even clinic workers who are
trying to display strength to the new security guard lose the composure and the truth is revealed.
______________
Those were the two stories I was going to share when I had time to sit in front of my computer and type
them up. As I was returning from Houston later that night I realized I would be driving by the vigil site
on I-75.
I thought to myself, I could go home and change into more appropriate clothing, but Ill get back after
everyone has left and one person standing there will be alone.
I decided to pull over and walk out there in my suit in tie. I could pray for a few minutes and then go
home and maybe come back later.
Instead I was greeted by six pro lifers holding signs and praying!
You can view their pictures on our Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/116422398726489/
I was chatting with one of them when I noticed a white pickup truck pull into the parking lot and a man
jumped out and started yelling something. I was too far away to understand the words, but I saw Mike
Costigan approach him.
Mike told me the man said, You need to stop being racist.

He had already pulled away before we walked up there. We thought his accusation was amusing since
pro lifers are the opposite of racist. We are there to rescue all babies regardless of color.
A mother who had brought two of her children told me, Before you arrived a car full of girls pulled over
and complained about our presence.
As she finished telling me this ANOTHER CAR pulled over at this point it was dark and nobody could
read our signs.
A man rolled his window down and asked, What does your sign say?
A pro lifer responded, Pray to end abortion.
He was told about Planned Parenthood and the 300,000+ abortion they perform annually. He said, I
knew it had to be something important when I saw so many people standing in the dark.
He then told us that we were doing Gods work and that he was going to stand with us. And then he
said, Im Muslim.
A pro lifer responded, In all the years Ive been praying in front of abortion clinics youre the first
Muslim Ive met who wanted to stand with us.
The muslim man responded, Ive learned there is only one God.
He said that although he was born in a Muslim country that he knows that Gods people come from all
religions. And that it was great to see Gods work being done through so many different people from
different backgrounds.
And then a pro lifer quoted Jesus, Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied
in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And
then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matt. 7:22-23
And I believe the exact opposite is true by inference. Many people who we assume are headed for a lake
of fire will instead be wearing a robe and ring in heaven. We all start our journey to God from different
places if we met Paul before the road to Damascus we would all be certain he was going to hell, but
God knew about the road to Damascus. God knew Paul was one of his sons even while he was
persecuting the Christians.
And some of Gods children we will meet while they are on their road to Jesus. And instead of hating
them and condemning them were supposed to love them and welcome them into our midst to learn
about Jesus.
We told him that we stand with Messianic Jews and that many Americans ear Muslims.
He said, I understand why people fear us. We have long beards which can be scary and were shown on
TV wearing strange clothes and sometimes were throwing rocks. But I will stand with them. They dont
need to fear me.

Where else do Jews and Muslims stand side-by-side in a mission to serve God but on the grass where a
revival is taking place? Where else do Catholics and Baptists stand side by side in the name of God?
He told us his name was Noman.
A pro lifer said, We pray for people like you to pull over and join us. Its dark outside and most people
cant read the signs, but somehow you knew to pull over.
And then ANOTHER CAR pulled up behind him and a man jumped out and said, I have a tip for you.
There is no God! he said and retreated to his car.
Wait, we have a tip for you too! One of the pro lifers responded.
God believes in you, even when you dont believe in Him.
This atheist had a stirring in his heart that pulled him off the road. A man who doesnt truly believe there
is a God wouldnt waste the words on us. We met someone being called by God through the presence of
the followers of the Lord.
Noman said, God puts it into our hearts to know that he is. We should have thanked him for saying
that.
I dont what inspired six people to stand and pray on this particular night, but their presence was having
quite an effect. Even in the darkness.
The world is seeking authentic Christianity. Muslims seek it. Catholics seek it. Baptists seek it. Jews seek
it.
And when we stand and pray together as the church of the grass it is the first exposure to authentic
service to God for many of them. I was reminded of woman who pulled over a couple days ago and said,
I work inside the Wells Fargo building and I can see you out of the window. Youre all such a great
inspiration. My daughter who is 16 came her and she saw all of you and it had a great impact on her.
She gave us her email address and said she wants to stand with us.
We see the good fruit of the revival over and over. Jo Ann Weckman wrote, Just wanted to let you
know that a lovely lady dropped off 3 coffees and chocolate chip cookies for us this morning. She
wanted to express her thanks for what we do. Another lady came by, as well, to thank us for what we do
and she gave me a gift card for free coffee. I put the card on the clipboard for anyone that wants to use
it.
As I was typing this update Randy Le Grand wrote, At my lunch break I visited the Vigil and was
pleasantly surprised to see a half dozen volunteers already there, praying and holding signs. Half of
them were from St. Anthony, led by Mike Cole. Two were from St. Mark; another was from St. Jude. It
was a windy but beautiful sunny day to be out on the grass. In my brief time there we had a visitor.
Here's my short story. Today at about 12:30 pm a young man with a broad-brimmed cowboy hat pulled

into the parking lot behind us and stepped out."Excuse me," he stated. "I'm a conservative. I have some
questions." Stephen was his name, and he was surprised to hear that there were only 35 Planned
Parenthood clinics in Texas but 3600 clinics that provide the same services and don't refer abortions. He
took a couple of our "You Have Options" flyers that list nearby well-woman clinics, thanked us and went
along his way. He stopped because he had seen us.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5
Before Noman left us he was told the story of a young Muslim man who had shown up to an abortion
clinic with his girlfriend to have an abortion and even though Gods weak servant standing on the
sidewalk had given up hope the Spirit of God had not given up.
Ill send out that story soon.
In the meantime please sign up for vigil hours because your presence makes a difference:

Ill see ya on the grass!
