Plans and designs effective learning environments and experiences
supported by technology
In order to showcase my ability to plan and design effective learning environments and
experiences supported by technology, I am going to utilize my eLearning project from course
Introduction to E-learning, EDCI 569. I was required to create a fully functional digital
prototype of an e-learning course, in this case I utilized the authoring tool / e-learning software
www.easygenerator.com. Since I utilized a portion of the platform that only allows you to keep a
project for 90 days, I do not have a link to the course. The eLearning training module was a
representation of a digital based clinical rotation for junior / senior level nursing students. The
module featured a simulation of sorts where students could interacts with a digital patient by
asking them questions in the initial evaluation, conducting a digital physical exam where lab and
imaging results were populated within the module. Students could also make a preliminary
diagnosis of the patients taking into consideration all aspects of the module completed
previously.

For the Learning, Design, and Technology Masters program it was mandatory to take Indian
Universitys plagiarism online course. Having an ethical compass in regards to ones profession
is essential to all field of study. Artifact 8.3.1 is the Recognizing Plagiarism Certificate that states
you know how to recognize plagiarism and how to avoid it. Plagiarism has various legal and
ethical issues surrounding the use of technology. As an instructional designer, who often utilizes
the services of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to help facilitate the development of my
trainings, it is integral to my profession to be able to identify plagiarism and avoid it. The issues
surrounding plagiarism does not stop at legal and ethical, there are also human and social issues
as well. As a professional working within the instructional design field, especially working with
and for clients, one must identify the professional social ramifications at even the slightest hint
of impropriety in regards to plagiarism.
