Mens River Cup Qualifying

Players, including college students, must be a legal resident of the County at the
time of the qualifying event and the Championship proper. Players who travel
for work will be reviewed by the Committee on a case by case basis.
Players in college can compete for the County where their parents or
legal guardians take permanent residence; certain age restrictions will apply.
Every players Amateur staus is subject to review by the Committee, the
CDGA/USGA, as is player conduct.

Top eight point getters automatically qualify with four team/captain picks;
minimum points must be 150, alternates will be selected by team (captain breaks
all ties) The Committee will select players to be voted on. Exemptions will be
reviewed by the Committee.
If ties exceed 8 players, a playoff will be used to finalize. The committee may at
its discretion award points for outstanding play not listed on the system. Events
such as, but not limited to major amateur competitions, professional open events
and certain "local/state" tournaments. Examples might include the Western
Am., and the CDGA Mid-Am. Any awards must be validated by earning the
same number of points in championships already on the system.
