Mr. Mabry
Estes park center
2515 Tunnel Road
Estes Park, CO 80511
Dear Mr. Mabry:
I am interested in the position as an Outdoor Environmental education intern. Where I
can use my skills in Leisure sport and tourism with a specialization in Outdoor Recreation and
improve my knowledge of program planning and management techniques, and outdoor
experience, while also using my own experience in these areas to influence the lives of others.
I could tell you about my experience in outdoor education but what I’ve learned
throughout life is that actions speak louder than words, and that the experience is not always
about you and what you gain from it but more importantly who you share it with. I have taken
multiple trips with inexperienced friends into the backcountry on a backpacking trip and after it
was said and done they all keep asking me when the next trip is. The point is that I love the
outdoors and I love being able to provide an experience that can shape and mold others lives. I
feel my experience and my drive to influence others through my work is a great fit for this
position.
Other qualifications:

I have lifeguarded for 4 years under Ellis lifeguarding, which provides extensive training
in CPR.

I have been an assistant swim coach where I taught youths to learn how to swim
competitively where I learned leadership skills.

I have experience in many other fields including customer service, manual labor, factory
work, and the list goes on the point is that I'm a good and honest worker and outdoor
recreation is my passion.

Sincerely,
Hunter Moisan
