 Know your audience
 Preview, present and review
 Relevant humor can be very helpful
 Do not read the slides
 Make eye contact with the audience
 Speak slowly and clearly

 When using power points do not stand between
the audience and the text
 Keep 6-7 words in each line and not more than
6-7 lines per visual
 Keep it simple
 Disclose information progressively

 Use colour visuals
 Use pictures, graphs, and charts, in preference
to words
 Use large letters
 Do not rush through the visuals
 As a rule of thumb four visuals for every ten
minutes of discussion
