PROBATIONARY CONTRACT for

The BOARD OF TRUSTEES (hereinafter, Board) of the CARROLLTON-FARMERS BRA CH INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, hereby employs the undersigned professional Em oyee,

LANCE C _ CAMPBELL , and the Employee accepts employme t on the

following terms and conditions:

1. Employee shall be employed for..l.!U. contract days, for th 1;1 school year-:--"""4!--=;JL.\'___~ according to the hours and dates set by the District as they exist or may hereaft r be amended. It is agreed that the Employee is required to attend Carrollton-Farmers Branch I ependent School District Professional Training within the time period designated by the Di let.

2. The Board Shall pay Employee in twelve Installments an annual salary according to the compensation plan adopted by the Board. III the case of full-time teachers and brarlans, compensation shalt not be less than the state minimum salary. Employee's sal includes conetderanon for any assigned duties, responsibilities, and tasks, except as pro dad in the District's supplemental duty schedule.

3. This contract dogs not cover assignments of, or payments for. supplemental du 8S. Any such payments are not included as part of the annual salary under this contract. Thi contract

does not create a propartyrlqht to continued employment in any supplemental ty.

4. Employee shall be subject to assignment and reassignment of positions or dutie • additional

2. The Board shall pay Employee in twelve installments an annual salary according to the compensation plan adopted by the Board. In the case of full·time classroom teachers and librarians, compensation shall not be less than the state minimum salary. Employee's salary includes consideration for any assigned duties, responsibilities, and tasks, except as provided in the District's supplemental duty schedule.

3. This contract does not cover assignments of, or payments for, supplemental duties. Any such payments are not included as part of the annual salary under this contract. This contract doas not create a property right to continued employment in any supplemental duty.

4. Employee shall be subject to assignment and reassignment of positions or duties, additional duties, changes in responsibilities or work, transfers, or reclassification at any time during the contract term,

6. This contract is conditioned on Employee's satisfactorily providing the certification, service records, teachil1g credentials, and other records and information required by law, the Texas Education Agency, the State Board for Educator Certlflcation, the State Board of Education,

or the District. Failure of Employee to maintain certification in the positIon(s) assigned may

be grounds for discharge. False statements, misrepresentations, omissions of requested information, or fraud by Employee in or concerning any required records or in the employment application may be grounds for discharge. Employee hereby represents that he/she has made written disclosure to the Distric1 of any convlctlon for a felony or en offense involving

moral turpitude. '

1. Employee shall be employed for 226 contract days, for the following school year(s) ~.=..JjI_.__2Jl.JJCl.l..._JJl.ll-=l.2._, according to the hours and dates set by the District as they exlst or may hereafler be amended. Scheduled days 01 employment as established annually by the Board relative to the specific job descriplion may be amended at any time during the contract term. It is agreed that the Employee is required to attend Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District Professional Training within the time period designated

by the District. It is rurther agreed that the Employee's failure to attend said training within

such period Shall constitute cause for the termination of this contract. as well as the nonrenewal thereof •.

2. The Board shall pay Employee a salary according to the compensation plan adopted by the

the Board. If the Employee will work on a less-than-tz-momh basis, the Employee's salary

will be paid on an annualized basis. The District will make deductions from each paycheck

for Income lax wilhholding and benefits. In the case of full-time teachers and librarians, compensation shall not be less than the slate minimum salary. Employee's salary includes consideration for any assigned duties, responsibilities, and tasks, except as provided in the District's supplemental duty schedule. If the Employee qualifies, the employee may recelve incentive payor pay for performance under the District's compensation plan, federal law or

state law, including Education Code Chapter 21, subchapters Nand O. An incentive payment

Is not an entitlement as part of the Employee's salary. In addition, if the Employee qualifies,

the employee may receive local longevity incentive pay, under the conditions a-nd at the amount adopted by tha Board ol Trusteos for the current school year, if any. Any longevity pay received is not an entitlement as part of the Employee's salary.

3. This contract does not cover assignments of, or payments for, supplemental duties. Any such payments are not included as part of the annual salary under this contract. This contract does not create a property right to continued employment in any supplemental duty.

4. Employee shall be subject to assignment and reassignment of posiilons or duties, additional duties, changes in responsibilities or work. transfers, or reclassification at any time during the contract term.

5. Employee shall comply with, and be subject to, state and federal law and District policies. rules, regulations, and administrative directives, as they exist or may hereafter be amended. Employee shall faithfully perform to the satisfaction of the District all duties set forth in the job description or as assigned.

6. This contract is conditioned on Employee's satisfactorily providing the certification, service records, teaching credentials, and other records and information required by law, the Texas Education Agency, the State Board of Education, the State Board for Educator Certification.

a review of his or her national criminal history record information (NCHRI) if required by Ihe District, TEA, or SBEC. The employee understands that a criminal history record acceptable to the District, at its sole discretion. is a condition of this contract.

7. Employee shan satisfactorily submit or account for all grades, reports, school equipment, or other required items at the end of the contract term.

8. In accordance with Texas Educatlon Code, Chapter 21, Subchapters C and F, the Board may terminate this contract and discharge Employee or suspend Employee without pay during the term of this contract for good cause ·as determined by the Board. A suspension without pay may not extend beyond the end of the school year.

9. The Board may terminate thIs contract and discharge Employee during the term of the contract if it determines that a financial exigency requires a reduction in personnel.

10. A detennination by the Board that a program change requires that the contract of Employee be terminated dUring the contract term constitures good cause for discharge.

11. Employment in federally or categorically funded positions is expressly condilioned upon the availability of full funding for the posltlon,

12. The Board has not adopted any policy, rule, regulation, law, or practice providing for tenure.
